As a volunteer for the Society of Civil Engineers during
graduate school, I was responsible for organizing
academic workshops, managing departmental
publications, performing various administrative tasks,
and organizing book exhibitions. This experience instilled
in me the importance of synergy and efficiency when
collaborating with others.

During my campus life, I spent time developing
my own interests and focusing on personal
growth beyond academia.

In addition to acquiring professional knowledge at
graduate school and work, I cultivated my social skills
and a collaborative spirit through mountain climbing in a
campus-based organization. Climbing allows me to
release pressure from work by pushing my physical
limits and improving my health.

As an undergraduate, I organized a private consulting
group of university students who tutored junior high
school students in an array of subjects. Despite initial
difficulties in establishing this group, I was able to recruit
a large number of tutors, rent a location, purchase
teaching materials, and design a daily study schedule so
that the students could keep up with the curriculum. The
community response was overwhelming, as evidenced
by the large number of students who enrolled in our
tutorial courses.

An outstanding manager must balance academic and social skills.
Therefore, I actively participated in our universitys student union,
the most reputable student organization on campus, to apply
systematically my knowledge and skills and broaden my horizons.
After several years of participation, I served as a vice-president of
the association, in which role I was responsible for various tasks
such as coordinating student welfare and communicating students
needs to pertinent school authorities, holding campus events, and
contacting student unions of other universities to set up collaborative
events.
