ichaela Goddard-Quesadas world spins off the axle of life as we know it. Fashion trends change faster than the
seasons, and it is Michaelas job to match the runway style with the runway model. She is a model scout with Elite
Model Look, a Manhattan-based company that has defined the Supermodel for thirty-eight years. The likes of

Cindy Crawford, Heidi Klum, Naomi Campbell, and Alessandra Ambrosio, have walked into the agency as unknowns and walked
out as household names of our generation.

Now with eighteen years of experience, Michaela is one of the top names in the scouting industry. In the last twelve years, she has
traveled to sixty countries looking for Supermodel potential in beautiful young women. Were now focusing our energies in
North America, Michaela says, explaining her recent move from Paris to New York City.

She continues judging contests in cities across the continent, and she has chosen Charleston, South Carolina as a destination
point. Michaela, who is on the model panel for Baker Motor Company Charleston Fashion Week, will be one of three judges to
select the winners of the Rock the Runway Model Competition this March.
What goes into judging a model contest? More than what meets the eye. Its not just about finding the tallest and most beautiful
model, but its also about knowing the current climate of the fashion industry. Designers and fashion editors dictate the look,
which changes from season to season. The competitions winning model will possess the look that designers want, but Michaela is
clear to say that modeling is 50% personality. The most beautiful girl can blend into the wall. We want the girl that shines when
she walks into the room. Many will strut down the runway at CFW, but theres always one who stands out.

She who takes the grand prize will be rewarded with $1,000 and a chance to have Michaela Goddard-Quesada as a mentor. The
opportunity is outstanding, for there is a lot to learn. As Michaela says, The road ahead is a whole new world. She will introduce

the young winner to the international world of modeling, teaching her the ins and outs of the industry.
Michaela has been in the judges seat for years. Her business of launching careers is enriched by her passion for growing young
girls. They are only seventeen, but with her help they can climb the stepladder to international success. This March shell be back
in the judges seat right here in Charleston.
She has never been to Charleston, but shes already charmed by the citys interest in promoting fashion culture. The fact that
Charleston has a fashion week is just phenomenal, she says. While she doesnt know what to expect from Charlestons models,
its cultural lure is just as enticing to her. I love Southern culturesomething about the politeness and elegance and gentleness of
it. I told my daughter how they greet you with Yes, maam and yes sir.
If the elegance of our culture extends to our runways, Michaela might just find a Supermodel among us.
