Potatoes, Eggs, and Coffee Beans

Posted by Ha-nu

Once upon a time a daughter complained to her father that her life was miserable and
that she didnt know how she was going to make it. She was tired of fighting and
struggling all the time. It seemed just as one problem was solved, another one soon
followed.
Her father, a chef, took her to the kitchen. He filled three pots with water and placed
each on a high fire. Once the three pots began to boil, he placed potatoes in one pot,
eggs in the second pot, and ground coffee beans in the third pot. He then let them sit
and boil, without saying a word to his daughter. The daughter, moaned and impatiently
waited, wondering what he was doing. After twenty minutes he turned off the burners.
He took the potatoes out of the pot and placed them in a bowl. He pulled the eggs out
and placed them in a bowl. He then ladled the coffee out and placed it in a cup. Turning
to her he asked. Daughter, what do you see?
Potatoes, eggs, and coffee, she hastily replied.
Look closer, he said, and touch the potatoes. She did and noted that they were soft.
He then asked her to take an egg and break it. After pulling off the shell, she observed
the hard-boiled egg. Finally, he asked her to sip the coffee. Its rich aroma brought a
smile to her face. Father, what does this mean? she asked.
He then explained that the potatoes, the eggs and coffee beans had each faced the same
adversity the boiling water. However, each one reacted differently. The potato went in
strong, hard, and unrelenting, but in boiling water, it became soft and weak.
The egg was fragile, with the thin outer shell protecting its liquid interior until it was
put in the boiling water. Then the inside of the egg became hard. However, the ground
coffee beans were unique. After they were exposed to the boiling water, they changed
the water and created something new. Which are you, he asked his daughter. When
adversity knocks on your door, how do you respond? Are you a potato, an egg, or a
coffee bean?
Moral:In life, things happen around us, things happen to us, but the only thing that
truly matters is what happens within us.
Which one are you?

Five Choices
You Won't Regret in Five Years
Posted by Madame Butterfly

In the end, more than anything else, we regret the chances we didnt take, the
relationships we were too afraid to have, and the decisions we waited too long to make.
Think about it... The big opportunity you procrastinated on. That friend you never
called. Those important words you left unspoken. You know what Im talking about.
Every one of us has experienced feelings of regret. But its not too late to set things
straight. Were still here breathing. Today we have an opportunity to change tomorrow.
Right now we can choose to erase regret from our later years. Its time to make the best
of each and every day. Here are some ideas to get you started five things you can start
doing now that you wont regret five years down the road:
1. Wake up every morning and get the RIGHT things done. The world does not owe
you a living. You owe the world a life. So stop daydreaming and start DOING. Develop
a backbone, not a wishbone. Take full responsibility for your life take control. You
are important and you are needed. Its too late to sit around and wait for somebody to
do something someday. Someday is now; the somebody the world needs is YOU. Focus
on being productive, not being busy. Dont just get things done... get the RIGHT things
done (and this includes things in your personal life too). Though being busy can make
us feel more alive than anything else for a moment, the sensation is not sustainable
long term. We will inevitably, whether tomorrow or on our deathbed, come to wish that
we spent less time in the buzz of busyness and more time actually living a purposeful
life.
2. Practice relentless kindness. Kindness is always the best response to any situation.
When you grow older and you look back on your life, you will inevitably forget a lot of
the stuff that seemed so important when you were young. You probably wont
remember what your high school or college GPA was. You will look at your old
classmates on Facebook (or some other online social network) and wonder why you
ever had a crush on that girl/guy. And you will have the toughest time remembering
why you let certain people from your past get the best of you. But you will never forget
the people who were genuinely kind those who helped when you were hurt, and who
loved you even when you felt unlovable. Be that person to others as often as possible.
(And, as you know, what goes around comes around.)

3. Love yourself, too. More likely than not, the first person who caught your eye
wasnt The One. And the second, third or fourth probably wasnt either. You know
why? Its because YOU are the one. Love isnt something out there somewhere that
someone else can give to you. Its already inside you. Its that sacred part of each of us
that makes us human. And some of the best moments in life are when you truly
connect with someone else and share the love you already have inside with them. But
dont ever forget to love yourself, first. When you start by loving and respecting
yourself, it makes giving that love to other people infinitely better. Youre going to
meet so many amazing people in your life, and I hope you do fall in love with someone
else. Just remember to fall in love with your own life too, because no one else can do
that for you.
4. In toxic relationships, create enough healthy space for yourself. You deserve
respect. You deserve it from your family, your friends, your coworkers from everyone
in your life. The best way to receive respect from others is to begin by respecting
yourself. Speak clearly and keep your head up. Be kind, but stand up for what you
believe. Make choices that you feel good about. And if someone in your life is
constantly being disrespectful call them on it. If things dont change, you need to limit
the amount of time and influence they have in your life. We need people in our lives
who challenge us and disagree with us, so we can see things from new perspectives,
but we dont need to be incessantly torn down by toxic people who dont respect us. It
can be difficult to distance yourself from a relationship like this, even when your
inner-wisdom tells you its time to give yourself some space. But make no mistake...
distancing yourself from a toxic relationship situation is a gain, not a loss.
5. Let go of those who are already gone. Youre going to mingle with a lot of people in
your lifetime. Youre going to have first kisses you feel all the way down to your toes
and think Oh my gosh, I love him, but really you loved the kiss. Youre going to
meet a friend you think you will know forever, but then something will change and
you two will go your separate ways. Youre going to explore different parts of your life
with different people who arent in it for the long haul, and that isnt a bad thing. Life
is a series of stories, and the way our stories intersect is remarkable. Sometimes people
are in our lives for the whole story. Sometimes they are just a short chapter or two. It
takes a brave person to know when that chapter is over, and then to turn the page. Be
brave. Embrace your goodbyes, because every goodbye you receive in life sets you
up for an even better hello.

Simple Cleansing
and removal of Riders.
Posted by Storm ShadowBane

Sometimes we pick up things as we go about our day. Usually, it is just minor energies,
like left over crumbs.
Sometimes, however the energy is not un-focused and un-directed. Sometimes it has
intent. And sometimes it is directed.
Unfortunately there are those out there in the world who think they have the right to
use others energy. Usually they are playing because they can, like children.
If we don't notice these "Riders" they put out, they can build up and drain us. Or even
influence us to do things we wouldn't normally do.
Here is a simple but effective way to stop these things from entering our living space.
At the edge of your property or the threshold of your apartment, draw a "line", it
doesn't have to be a physical line, but you must "SEE" it in your mind. You will be
drawing a Circle, in effect. Do this also along the base of the walls
State out loud, three times, "I make this place a Sanctuary, a safe place apart. No
Uninvited energy may enter here."
Do this also at your internet connection. Nothing will sneak in then.
This will not stop things you invite in, remember. So be careful.
Good luck.

Seven Things You Should Never

Stop Doing For Yourself
Posted by Madame Butterfly

When I was 16 years old and too young to fully grasp the sensitivity of the situation, I
interviewed my grandmothers friend, JoAnn, who was terminally ill, for a school
project entitled The Speed of Life. About five minutes into the interview I began
questioning JoAnn about her illness and her life situation.
So, I tried to delicately ask, What is it like to wake up every morning and know that
you are dying?
Well, she replied, What is it like to wake up every morning and pretend that you are
not?
Whoa! In an instant, JoAnns response opened my young eyes to one of lifes greatest
truths: Today is the oldest each of us has ever been and the youngest we will ever be
again.
In other words, life is short and the clock is ticking. Its kind of scary, but its true. If
there was ever a perfect day to stand strong beside your values, your ambitions, and
whats best for you, that day is today.
So today I challenge you to
1. Never stop listening to your own inner voice. The unhappiest folks are those who
care the most about what everyone else thinks those who let everyone else drown out
their own inner voice. So stand strong beside yourself. Theres great freedom in leaving
others to their opinions.
2. Never stop working through your fears. Fear kills more dreams than failure ever
will. So dont let fear decide your future. In the end, you can be comfortable or
courageous, but not both at once.

3. Never stop getting back up. The strongest and most accomplished people are not
those who always win, but those who refuse to give up even after they lose. You might
think youre not good enough, but youll surprise yourself if you keep trying. What
defines us is how well we rise after falling. At the end of the day, to win, all you have
to do is get up one more time than you fall down.
4. Never stop making the best of it. When you lose something, dont think of it as a
loss, but as a gift that lightens your load so you can better travel the path that was
meant for you.
5. Never stop ignoring the naysayers. When someone undermines your dreams,
predicts your doom, or criticizes you in any way, remember, theyre telling you their
story, not yours.
6. Never stop indulging in lifes little daily joys. Notice what you love, not what you
hate. Smile more. Happiness is enjoying the small things in life, all while chasing after
the big ones.
7. Never stop evolving. Just because you liked something at one point in time doesnt
mean youre required to always like it. You can change your mind. You dont have to
pretend to like something as an act of loyalty to who you are as a person, based on who
you once were. To be sincerely loyal to yourself is to allow yourself the freedom to
change. The only thing you ever are for sure is unsure, and this means youre growing,
and not stagnant or imprisoned by old ways of thinking.

Being a Shadow
breaking names and titles
Posted by haw

What is an idea of being a Shadow..

the knowing of an essence of all that is and should be without titles. as we know
anything givin a name has been corrupted at one point or another or is destined to be
infiltrated and dishonest hidden agenda evolves.
When we realize the fundamentals of life and existence we do not need to name
ourselves under a title, dont give it a name that can be distorted by another.. but by
being ourselves.. as some have tried the answer "I am me" seems arrogant to some but is
what it is .. are those who want titles in place to find fault and error in one's ideas and
placement in the whole of an idea meant for all on this planet..
As long as one's intent is of positive nature and not self centered then they are doing
what they should for the betterment of all and themselves in the process. that is the
only question is one's true intent and be of other then money or self gain..
One will search to find where they fit in excepting material and ideas and validation
that seems to feel right for them and is the way it should be, not totally consistent on to
one direction or plan of anothers set ways.. is not how it is these days as we have grown
much in our insights and knowing of what is going on around us and from that we see
more we recognize things easier and we easily sense when something is wrong and
many deny their selves this knowing afraid to lose something and that my friends can
lead to dependency being a little materialistic.
Through out history information came to us in trickles and by several sources some of a
positive intent to help and inform. others for self righteous reasons and recognition for
self worth or being the cavalier the Paul Revere to save the day.
For a long time it bothered me that these commercialistic channels got allot more
respect then i did and they were in it for the above plus money and I never was.. i was
pure and true to my intent.. but you have to remind yourself it is about others not
yourself so leave being known for your intents for the higher peeps and hope people
catch on to your message unlike being passed around multiple times through out the
net and for years same old messages false hope and promises..

One becomes a shadow hidden behind of all the knowing and seeing the concept of
progress , independence and empowerment for all so we can get beyond this thick
reality that consumes so many. freezing their minds only to what is around them
burying themselves in the daily routine and if were too escape is seemingly short
lived..
have to be consistent in the effort to think forward, progress and remain of the positive
mindset.
cant just do it one day and forget about it and expect things to get better and this is the
problem with the whole always dependent on another to solve the problem waiting
and waiting.. but when you have so many who sit back waiting nothing will change as
long as they remain in their shells . so they cannot complain why things dont change
when they do not themselves..
it is imperative to set your mind to this change and work with it consistently and not let
go even if is few minutes of a day and build up and remain as such continuously. after
so long it isnt hard to maintain..
dont let others stop you or hold you back because they will try .., odd to say but many
do not like seeing those who can escape the mindset of fear and control.. then
themselves have become part of that energy and maybe do not realize it.. have found a
comfy zone and will stick with it but will keep others down with them as they dont
want to be alone in it..
just the same as a jealous neighbor getting a nicer car then another is animosity from
that.
same for those who can reach beyond and see and do progress.
will be many who will try to say you are wrong and try to get in your way.. as long as
you are confident in your attempts and know your taking a positive path do not ever
allow anyone to sway you away .. friends and family are bad about this.. which brings
me to something many are afraid to address..
some will have family and friends who can spend all their time telling you what you
should do or should be but yet you sit back and let it happen and sometimes give in to
be as they wish just to keep peace and keep them liking you.. accepted. this is so far
from wrong .
they should not interfere with you what so ever and if they do is their own arrogant
and ignorance and slight control thing going on.. if these people truly care and love you
they will allow your independence to grow as you wish and not try to get in your way..
most loving and caring will except you as you are knowing your true nature or should
after all this time.. many have held themselves back for years because of this situation
and gains them nothing for their own life and future by anothers wishes.

So is ok to be a shadow when finding and searching or even realizing your position

and placement in the now and future .. one thing we do not want to forget is when
dealing with the "Now" we want to work at our efforts that will effect our future if not
others at same time keeping a mindset of progress and not ever changing from it to
keep that energy flow going for yourself and all around you.
I have been asked so many times what Shadow meant and i will tell you exactly what
it means for me.. as like i say some want to know so they can try to dissect who i am so
they can find some fault and some tried even with my writings no matter how positive
the message was..
i see being a Shadow as being shadow of time and all that is.. and everything that
exist.. seems bold but really it isnt as we have progressed as i have to see and evolve
and know , recognition to bring about change to help expose to rid the negative energy
that controls many and they dont even realize it and sometimes are intimidated when it
is exposed but we are about helping as guides not hurting once we expose such and say
hey got little something going on we will help in resolve running away does no good
in fixing it and thus only hurting one's self for not trying and excepting these things
happen is normal and nothing new to many of us.. is what we do and why we are here..
some may even use the term eclectic which has bugged me for long time it seemed to
simplistic and to narrow for what i do and in that limits .. it just draws an invisible
line for me but to relate to others I sometimes use that term .. to be more down to Earth
to the new trying to understand the basic principles up front .. basic fundamentals and
understanding is imperative from that they can easily evolve.
I kind of like being the shadow keeps many confused have even have some see me as
other but they didnt even try to look at my work or material to see what i present so
being a shadow and my dragon has been called out on judgement call on first sight ..
instant exposure.. because those who want to truly know whats going on or how to
explore the outer workings of this reality they have to be open minded and when they
come in with such judgement calls shows they still have some work to do as they are
still hid by their conformed ways of thinking and need some ego checking..
many know i can be the nicest and most helpful person they know as long as one tries
but if step on my tail and continue to do so i can be the worse thing they could mess
with even by my pure energies ..and the negative cannot compete with that.. part of
being a Gatekeeper I cant help that lol. so when one ask what are you you can say "I am
me" or you can say I am a Shadow of what is and what will be
:)

5 Damaging Lies and Excuses

Your Mind Likes to Tell You
Posted by Madame Butterfly

The mind is a wonderful thing. Its also a total liar and an excuse machine that
frequently tries to convince us not to take actions we know are good for us. This
ultimately prevents many positive changes from taking place in our lives.
So why does the mind lie to us and make irrational excuses?
Because the mind wants comfort thats why. Its afraid of discomfort, pressure and
change. The mind is used to its comfort zone, and anytime we try to stretch that zone
too far, for too long, the mind tries desperately to get back to ground zero at any cost
including sacrificing our long-term health, happiness and success.
So lets expose 5 of the cowardly minds most damaging lies and excuses once and for
all:
1. "I cant do it." It seems too difficult at first, so you think you cant stick to the
positive change youre making. You dont believe in yourself enough to take another
step. This is a common lie/excuse that can be countered by looking at the fact that
other people no more capable than you have done it. For example, my 60-year-old
next-door neighbor ran a marathon a little before I started training for my first
marathon, and so I told myself, If she can do it, so can I! And I was right. Truth be
told, the only person who can tell you I cant is you. If you hear those words
echoing in the back of your mind, tune them out. In the end, your doubts and your
faith have something in common. They both ask you to believe in something you
cant see; you simply have to decide which one you want to believe.
2. "They can do it, but that doesnt apply to me because they have it better than me."
Just because someone else can, doesnt mean you can, right? You look for reasons they
can do it but you cant maybe hes an internet entrepreneur or freelance writer
because he has no kids. Maybe shes way fitter than I am, so she can run a marathon.
Maybe she doesnt have all the work and family obligations I have, or has a supportive
spouse, or doesnt have bad knees. OK, fine, its easy to find excuses: but look at all
the other people who have considerable obstacles too whove done it. Marc and I have
a family, and have dealt with significant loss in our lives, and still managed to succeed
on many fronts.

And just as weve turned things around for ourselves, we know hundreds of other
people whove done the same. Through a decade of life coaching, weve witnessed
people reinventing themselves at all ages 48-year olds starting families, 57-year-olds
graduating from college for the first time, 71-year-olds starting successful businesses,
and so forth. And stories abound of people with disabilities or illnesses who overcame
their obstacles to achieve great things. Your obstacles can be overcome.
3. "Itll be too hard because I cant get by without _______." Fill in the blank: I need
my wine, my cheese, my sweets, my TV shows, my nine hours of sleep, my big house,
my fancy wardrobe, etc. These are luxuries we convince ourselves we cant live
without, so we can justify not making positive changes like eating healthier or
exercising daily or saving money or simplifying our lives or building a profitable side
hustle. And like I said, Im not immune either in the past Ive made these excuses
myself, but they all turned out to be lies. I didnt need any of these things in my life,
and believing that I did was only getting in the way of the positive changes I was
capable of creating for myself.
4. "Life is meant to be easier and enjoyed more." Sure, I agree that life should be
enjoyed (as many of us do) but the problem is that the idea that life should ALWAYS be
easy and enjoyable is used to justify all kinds of lazy behavior. Might as well sit on the
couch and scarf down those Twinkies, because hey, life is meant to be enjoyed, right?
Nope. You can do without junk food and still enjoy life. You can exercise and enjoy it.
You can give up a lot of comfort in your life and not lose a thing. In fact, the path of
least resistance is often the path of least reward. You need to do hard things. There are
no shortcuts to any place worth going. As Einstein once said, Genius is 1% talent and
99% hard work. You must run to be a runner. You must write to be a writer. You must
actively work on a business venture to learn how to run a successful business. There is
no substitute for doing the work. So meditate on this every day: I will do the work. It
wont be easy. It will be worth it!
5. "I can do it later." Sure, you can always do it later but your later self will feel the
same exact way. Think about it: Why should your later self be more disciplined than
your present self? In fact, because youre allowing yourself to slack off now, youre
building a habit of procrastination and actually making it less likely that your later self
will be more disciplined. So today, stop making excuses for why you cant get it done
and start focusing on all the reasons why you must make it happen. Stop talking about
what you have done or what you are going to do. Just do it and let your actions speak
for themselves. Most great things in life dont happen by chance, they happen by
choice. You never know whats possible until you risk finding out. In the end, there is
only one thing that makes your dreams and goals completely impossible to achieve:
Your lack of action today.

When Your Child's Anxiety

is Making You Anxious:
Repeat These 22 Phrases
Posted by Madame Butterfly

As parents, we have a natural tendency to reach out to our children when they are
anxious, scared, or stressed. What none of us can anticipate is how our childrens
anxiety will cause us to feel anxious, helpless, hopeless, angry, or desperate. The next
time your child is ridden with anxiety, repeat any of these phrases to yourself. You will
be surprised that your child will likely mirror your reaction.
1. This too shall pass. Like all emotions, anxiety will pass. Our bodies cannot
physiologically maintain the heightened level of awareness caused by anxiety for very
long. Chances are that waiting ten to fifteen minutes will result in a change in anxiety
levels.
2. Anxiety serves a purpose. Oftentimes we treat anxiety like there is something wrong
with our child. In fact, anxiety serves an important biological function to keep us safe.
Teaching your child to differentiate between anxiety that will help and anxiety that will
hinder her/him is a valuable life skill.
3. Breathe. Deep breathing actually reverses the bodys stress response. When we are
anxious, we tend to take shallow breaths. Taking three conscious, deep breaths will
alleviate much of our anxiety.
4. We are on the same team. Have you ever watched two basketball players going for a
rebound, fighting each other tooth and nail, only to realize they are on the same team?
Remember, you and your child are on the same team and have the same goals.
5. I am my childs guide. Remind yourself that your role is not to control the challenges
your child will face but rather to be her/his guide through the experiences.
6. Observe. Observe. Observe. Instead of doing something, simply observe what is
happening like an outsider. See if there are commonalities in your observations. By
identifying triggers, you can help your child cope with them, thereby limiting your own
sense of helplessness.

7. The only way to get across this swift, deep river is to go through it. Allow your own
feelings, even if they are dark, to arise and pass. If this experience is like a river, it
means there is also a riverbank waiting for you.
8. Stick to the routine. Anxious children thrive on predictability. You may not be able to
do anything about the trigger, but you can reinforce the routine. Bedtime, family
rituals, and morning routines center our children, better preparing them for the outside
world.
9. Meditate. At our darkest moments, hope is rekindled simply by taking the time to be
still and focus on our breath for a few moments.
10. Help is available. Hopelessness usually means you have exhausted your ability to
deal with your childs anxiety. Having another set of eyes on the situation may make all
the difference in the world. Whether a professional counselor, a relative, or another
trusted adult, turn to those in your childs circle for help.
11. My childs anxiety is not a reflection of my parenting. Stop questioning whether
you should or could have done something differently with your child. Focus rather on
what you can do as their guide through their challenges.
12. What would make my child laugh right now? Whether its a funny noise, a silly
story, or singing the wrong words to a favorite song, laughter is the fastest way to make
you both feel better.
13. Im going to take a break. Its okay to take five minutes of quiet time or put yourself
in a place to reconnect with yourself when you are feeling angry. Not only are you
modeling appropriate behavior, but you also have a chance to take a few breaths and
remind yourself of a few of these phrases.
14. I love you. Im here for you. Your children will experience stress that they cannot
control. They will receive an injection, perform in front of an audience, and face
challenges. Reminding them that you love them and are here for them is reassuring, not
just for them but for you as well.
15. In this moment, right now, what can I do to reboot my well-being? Some days it will
be getting ice cream; others it will be going for a run. Whatever it is, make a long list for
yourself that you can reference when you need it.
16. She/he does not know how to deal with this. Frustration over our childrens anxiety
can sometimes result from forgetting that they are trying to learn how to navigate a
world of unknowns. Regardless whether their fear is rational, or of how many times
you have been through this, ask yourself how you can be their guide.

17. I am on a beach. There is a reason why guided imagery is used during labor and
delivery to reduce pain. It works! Imagine yourself in a soothing, happy place before
you speak.
18. I am the adult. Simply remind yourself that you are the adult; you have the power to
remain calm and provide heart-centered advice to de-escalate an anxious situation.
19. My job is to help my child become a functioning adult. When you put it into
perspective, you must teach your child how to acknowledge, reduce, and wade through
anxiety if she/he is to be a functioning adult. Suddenly, when your anxious child is
crying about going to school, you can approach the problem as just thata problem to
be solved.
20. I have control over my reaction. Ultimately, the only person you can control is you.
Govern your feelings, control your reactions, and then help your child learn to do the
same. You can teach your child the art of emotional self-regulation by modeling it.
21. Progress is never linear. Coping with anxiety is not a linear process. It takes time
and practice for you and your child. Dont assume you are at square one when you
experience a setback.
22. Im doing the best I can. In this moment, with the tools you have, you are doing the
very best you can. Some days your reaction to your childs anxiety may be cool, calm,
collected, empathetic, and thoughtfulon other days, perhaps not as much. We are all a
work in progress, and you are doing the best you can.

How to Make Homemade

Bug Repellent Oil
(ticks, flees and flies)

Bug Blends
For my homemade bug repellent, I used the following essential oil blend.
15 drops lavender
5 drops eucalyptus
I wanted to keep it simple and smelling good. Who doesnt love the smell of lavender
anyway? Not to mention this blend will help calm your little ones a bit.
If lavender and eucalyptus arent your thing, here are three other essential oils blends
that work well for keeping bugs away.
Bug Blend 1
This bug blend smells like a fall campfire with the cinnamon and cedar blending
together! Its very grounding.
10 drops rosemary
7 drops cinnamon
3 drops cedarwood
Bug Blend 2
This bug blend has a very lemony-mint aroma to it that is exciting and uplifting.
12 drops Lemongrass
6 drops eucalyptus
2 drops citronella

Bug Blend 3
This is the easiest blend of all since you only need one oil, and it gives you a very floral
like smell. This one even works great on cats and dogs. Just put 1 drop right on your pets
collar to keep ticks away!
20 drops rose geranium
Carrier oil: I use the following
Olive oil
Coconut oil
baby oil
Sweet Olive oil
Almond oil
On my cats I used baby oil or sweet oil, I get at the pharmacy. The olive oil jsut dont
work, my cats hated it. And Almond oil dont work either as I use a spray of Almand
essence viniger and water in a spray can for the stray male cats that came to visit and left
their markings all over my house. It neutrilise the odour, so If i use almond oil on the
cats got really disgusted... LOL
I have found that Coconut oil last longer on the dogs and make their coats soft. It also
make the essencial oil last longer.

Reasons to Meditate
Posted by Ha-nu

Personally, I love what Osho the Zen Master said . . . Meditation is your medication,
once it has worked for you you throw away the medication, throw away the
Meditation and get a new one . . . and in the tradition of the Zen Masters they never
say anything to fullness, but leave much unsaid . . . for US to meditate on!
Reasons to meditate:
You find your own inner wisdom . . . one of the most powerful reasons to meditate as
far as Im concerned, because this builds so much inner confidence.
So many of our spiritual masters have taught us that everything comes from within. Our
natural wisdom is within, the healer is within and the Guru is within. All it takes to
tap into all of this inner power, is practice regularly in Meditation. We then learn to
master ourselves.
This is one of J. Krishnamurtis sayings on Meditation: Meditation is freedom, and it is
like entering into an unkown world of beauty and quietness; it is a world without
image, symbol or word, without waves of memory.
Meditation transforms . . . meditation was the final journey of the ancient Vedic yogis
(founders of Vedanta, belief in Life Freedom) they mastered and controlled the body
with Asanas, the physical postures of Yoga. Then they mastered and controlled the
emotions with Pranayama, the breathing practices and techniques. And finally, they
mastered and controlled the mind with Meditation . . . but more than that, they spent
their time then in Meditation exploring the quality of mans relationship with God or
the Divine. And so the legacy was passed down to us, that we are born with the seeds of
Divinity within us or, as my interpretation goes . . . were all potential creative
geniuses just waiting to be transformed!
And this is a bit nonsensical, but you could jump right in with the At-One-Ment
Meditation audio guided short for free download from our websites Ashram Help I
Need Yoga section.

Meditation takes you out into vast spaces of light in other words, it releases you from
tight, little small worlds of being. Your spirit might be wild and on an adventure of its
own . . . and you will need to control your own little and constricted mundane mind to
follow your bliss with your spirit! I love the fact that knowledge of the Chakras (our
own psychic gateways to Cosmic energy) is still a living tradition of the Hopi Indians in
North America whose tradition of Meditation is as old as that of the South American
Indians and the Yogis of India.
The above paragraph is with reverential reference (to vast spaces of light) to the 6th
century Sufi poet Rumi and I feel I should also share the following with you from
South American poet Pablo Neruda as I have such affinity with both himself and Rumi:
I also use his term the light of flowers for the beautiful state of being that follows
when our seeds of potential have blossomed as we follow the paths of our hearts and
spirits.
I LOVE YOU BECAUSE I LOVE YOU:
I love you between shadow and soul , I love you as the plant that hasnt bloomed yet,
and carries within it, the light of flowers. I love you without knowing how, or when, or
from where . . . because of you the dense fragrance that rises from the earth, lives within
my body, rioting with hunger for the eternity of our victorious kisses.

written on September 23rd 1961 in Paris.

Yoga Teacher. Her teaching typically draws on breathwork in deep Hatha practice, as
well as Raja Yoga (the Yoga of Meditation). She lives in West Cork, Ireland where she
writes and teaches.

All gifts of nature can be added to our spells and each one you add wiil bring their
own unique element to your spell!
Spells are made powerful by the ingredients that are used and the way they interact
with each other ,in other words the more you know the stonger your spells.

consumption, but for use during spell casting.
Blossoms picked and dried in the spring are good in spells of rebirth or renewal of

Oneness and Unity

Posted by Madame Butterfly

What is oneness?
What is it to truly be one with others and the universe? It is to be united with Truth
and Morality, that higher force. It is an honest Care for Truth, Morality and other
beings, of not doing harm. Forget all the other pseudo-spiritual nonsense you have
ever assimilated into your consciousness about what oneness and unity are. True
Oneness and Unity is based in Morality. If you are engaging in preventable harm
against other innocent sentient animate beings that did you no harm and have every
right to life as you do, then you are not as much in comprehension of oneness or
unity as you would like to think you are, no matter how many buzz-word catchphrases you use that make you feel-good about yourself. Love and light,
resonance, passion, enjoyment, pleasure, etc. will not get you True Oneness
or True Unity. Alignment, harmony, unity, integration and coherence with Truth,
Love, Good, Right, Morality, Natural Law, Higher Self, Higher Will, True Self, etc. is
what oneness is really about. That is the Force we all seek yet call it by different
names. All good we create comes from that unity. All evil we create comes from that
disunity. Our disconnection from the True Self results in ignorance, confusion,
control, and chaos.

Below are the first five listings for the term "unity" in dictionary.com:
1. the state of being one; oneness.
2. a whole or totality as combining all its parts into one.
3. the state or fact of being united or combined into one, as of the parts of a whole;
unification.
4. absence of diversity; unvaried or uniform character.
5. oneness of mind, feeling, etc., as among a number of persons; concord, harmony, or
agreement.

Peace

In dwelling, be close to the land. In meditation, go deep in the heart. In dealing with
others, be gentle and kind. ~ Lao-Tzu
How peaceful the above quote is! In only three little sentences, calm is brought into
our lives. What a rare and magnificent gift is peacefulness!
How can we possibly expect peace on the planet if we do not know peace within
ourselves?
In dwelling, be close to the land. How can we do this when our world is being covered
in asphalt and concrete and we live on the fifteenth floor of a high rise? Being close to
the land is not easy in some situations, and it is possible in all situations. No matter
what our buildings are, they are rooted in the earth.
Their foundations reach into the earth and depend upon the land for their very
existence. We can let the peaceful awareness of our roots reaching deep into the earth
permeate our being.
In meditation, go deep in the heart. Meditation is not a head thing. The purpose of
meditation is to move us beyond our busy heads into the quiet of our beings, which
through our hearts connects us with the stillness of all being.
In dealing with others, be kind and gentle. For many of us, kindness and gentleness
are learned skills. We may not have grown up with them and the exciting news is they
can be learned.
Since life is about learning what we have thus far missed, why not have a go at it?
Practice being close to the land, going deep in the heart, and being kind and gentle.
Peace and balance are by-products of these activities.

Jaded persuasion - be mindful

Many times are those who seek to stay in lower level ( vibe and energy) of presence
and in that they have Friends or for some to use for their own personal agenda.. so if
you want to explore beyond and outside of their little circle then do so.. by no means
give them power to control you or tell you what you can and cannot do or where you
can go or not go.. here we just do not allow drama or hype false manipulation or
negative intent..
never give another the lead role in your life in what you do.. as they have their own
Jaded reasons and purposes for doing so.. some call themselves friends but use and
manipulate others. seen it many times.. so is up to the one if they follow the click
mentality or not..
Much peace
