Your assignment:

Hamlet Comic Strip

The best way to see if you get it is to have you show it. To that end, you
need to consider what the most important 12-15 events are in the retelling
of the story of Hamlet and portray them in a comic strip. (An example of the
beginning of one is on the back, but you can do it like the usual kind you see
in the newspaper, comic book, or graphic novel.)

You may choose to use people or animals as your characters

Each of your 12-15 blocks should have a short description of the
action (think plot points) and a picture to go with it.
You must use a direct quote from the text in at LEAST 6 of the
balloons with the characters dialogue.

You do NOT have to be artistic to do this, but you DO need to do it neatly

and make it appear that you tried!
You need to show me a very rough draft on a sheet of computer paper (or on
the back of this); I will then give you a good sheet of construction paper
and supplies to begin work on your final copy.
Scoring:
____/45: Your blocks do a sufficient job of retelling the story without
omitting important events
____/25: You have capitalized where necessary (5 pts. deducted for each
error in capitalization); spelling of characters names
____/15: Followed directions
____/15 Neatness; evidence of effort
____/100 TOTAL
