INVITES YOU AND YOUR ORGANIZATON TO ATTEND A 3-DAY WORKSHOP ON:

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
TRAINING FOR CAREGIVERS
Other than caregiving from parents, caregivers come in different categories, including Day Care centers,
in-home caregivers, Grandmas Caregivers, etc. A good training in Childcare is an asset that needs to be
developed to become an effective caregiver. In the case of children with special needs, regardless of ability,
every child has the right to participate in a broad range of activities and contexts as a full member of the
family, community, and society. Full understanding of the range of strategies and legal expectations in
formal children care could increase the business and child development outcomes and reduce some of the
non-compliance issues associated with caregiving. This professional training is designed to provide basic
education about children development, how professional caregivers can work with parents for the safety of
children, compliance of childcare laws, etc. The training will also briefly cover the critical features of
inclusive early childhood programs.

Guide for Handling Children

Development and Challenging Behavior
Raising children can be challenging to parents and caregivers and sometimes very frustrating when one is
not aware of the key elements of handling aggressive behaviors. Research has shown that aggression and
cooperation as two critical features in the child's social domain and both emerge from children's strong
developmental push to initiate and maintain relationships with other children. As an intentional behavior,
aggression can result in physical or mental injury to any person, or in damage to property. Cooperation,
on the other hand, involves two or more children intentionally and willingly depending on each other to
accomplish a task or play together. In this sense, cooperation reduces aggression. This workshop will
present some research-based techniques adults can use for reducing children's aggression, develop
cooperative/collaborative problem-solving approaches to conflicts.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
In this workshop, participants will learn to identify challenging children behaviors and ways they can
work together with the child, parents, and caregivers to prevent and respond to challenging
behaviors. Participants will learn the important steps toward helping the child grow to the fullest
potential. At the end of the workshop, participants will learn how to:
