I am applying for a Practical nursing position within your organization. I work well
individually, with minimal supervision or in a team environment, in which I found myself
producing reliable and high quality work.
I know that I could be an important addition. I am a Registered Practical Nurse with
practice experiences in the Medicine Unit, Cardiology Unit, Palliative unit, Rehabilitative unit,
Long-Term Care, and Community Home Care Services. I had the opportunity to do my clinical
training at some reputable hospitals namely: Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital and
Brampton Civic Hospital. As a student nurse I was able to develop my nursing skills and gain
valuable experience. I acquired related skills required for this available position through working
as a nursing student with various diverse populations at two reputable GTA hospitals, Long-term
care and community home services; I found myself using critical thinking in providing treatment
planning and service planning; thus, enhancing holistic care. I am very comfortable with
assessments of patients, timely documentation, providing safe, competent care by using reflective practice
and quality assurance practices; and administering IV, oral, intramuscular and subcutaneous medications.
