Q1. What did you learn from participation in this module?
I learned about the problem of lateral violence within the nurisng profession, and especially how it effects
students/ preceptor situations. One must be open and honest to dialogue about conflict in order to move forward.
Q2. In what ways will you implement your learning in your future practice?
I will continue to work on understanding and identifying reasons for conflict and try to collaborate with others to
decrease/ resolve conflict. I will continue to work on decreasing and reducing the occurrence of lateral violence in
the workplace.
Q3. What surprised you most in this module?
The amount of lateral violence that occurs in the workplace of students and other nurses that goes unreported.
