The difference between these two steel grades isin the ductility property specifications (see DIN 488-1:2009-08, Table 2). 6.2 The two steel grades are delivered as ribbed reinforcing stee! coils. Steel grade BSOOA (1.0438) is also delivered as reinforcing wire with a plain (+6) or indented (+P) surface in the form of coils and bars. 6.3 The inside diameter, outside diameter and mass of the coils may be agreed between the manufacturer and the customer. Properties 734 General The requirements for the specific properties apply to machine-straightened reinforcing steel coils 7.3.2 Properties determined in the tensile test ‘See DIN 488-1:2009-08, Table 2; ribbed steel: columns 2 and 3, reinforcing wire: columns 4 and 5. 7.3.3 Properties determined in the fatigue test 7.3.3.4 For ribbed reinforcing steel, see DIN 488-1:2009-08, Table 2. 7.33.2 Forreinforcing wire, there are no fatigue strength requirements, 7.34 Bend performance ‘To demonstrate the bend performance, the rebend test shall be carried out according to DIN EN ISO 16630-1 Bend the test pieces through an angle of at least 90° around a mandrel with a diameter D as specified in Table 3, age the test pieces (see DIN 488-6:2008-08, Table 21) and rebend them after cooling in still air to room temperature of at least 20° C. ‘After the test, the test piece shall show no sign of fracture or cracks visible to a person of normal or corrected vision. The ends of the ribs shall always taper off into the surface of the product, 7.3.74.2.2 Transverse rib flanks shall be inclined at more than 40° (flank inclination a) and the transition from the rb to the core shall be radiused (see Figure 5 a)). 7.3.7.4.2.3 The angle of inclination of the transverse rib (2) shall be 40° to 70°. For rib rows with alternating angles of inclination, these may be 35° to 75°, 7.3.7.1.2.4 The dimensions and spacing of the transverse ribs shall be as shown in Table 4. 7.3.7.1.2.5 The sum of the spacing of the rib rows, Ze, shall not exceed 25 % of the circumference. The projecting parts of the indentations shall form an angle f of 40° to 70" with the longitudinal axis. ‘The indentation dimensions are given in Table 5.
