Chapter Evaluation
Form
The foundation of the Chapter Evaluation lies in the
standards determining the success of every chapter and
the quality of the membership experience.

Overview of the Chapter

Evaluation

The Chapter Evaluation includes

accomplishments in membership,
academics, philanthropy, finances, housing,
and Panhellenic and campus involvement

The Evaluation assess how well chapters

offer opportunities to develop members
through the Leading With Values

The Chapter Evaluation lists what is

designated to be a designated Pi Chapter
overall, Beta grading approach, and Phi
Level approach

Pi, Beta, and Phi Grading

Pi Category Grading: the lowest level of the Standards of

Excellence rankings (example: 3rd place)

To achieve PI in the categories of Chapter Management, Finance

and Housing, Prevention and Policy, Membership and Community
Relations, no more than one PI standard may be missed per
category. (Pi Beta Phi Chapter Evaluation)

at least 16 category points. (Pi Beta Phi Chapter Evaluation)

Phi Grading Approach: Chapters are considered Chapters of

Excellence and are eligible for consideration for the Fraternitys
top three chapter awards. Phi chapters must have completed
ALL standards in Pi, Beta and Phi. (Pi Beta Phi Chapter

Chapter Evaluation Format

Chapter Evaluation is divided into 4 large

sections for the 8 different Executive Board
positions

Each section is divided into Pi, Beta, and

Phi and state what the requirements are to
achieve each level for that section

Next to the requirement, it will list the

position that is responsible for completing
that action

Time and Effort

How much time should be spent on writing a Chapter

Evaluation?

A few hours should be spent writing out the Chapter

Evaluation and writing what was done throughout the
semester

Chapter Evaluation is a accumulation of a whole

semesters worth of information

The more information that is listed and the more

professional that it is written, the more credible HQ looks
for writing it because they know what they want and the
more credible the chapter looks as well for having a
successful semester
