Anticipatory Set

Show students a presentation and


sample infographics.
Explain to students that pictographic
represent facts and statistics about a
topic.
Ask students what they know about
cyberbullying.
Tell students that they will be creating
an infographic on the topic of
cyberbullying.
Ask students: What is important for
other kids to know about
cyberbullying?
Remind them that their infographic
should try to answer that question.

Cyberbullying fact sheets

Day 1
Show students how to set up an
account on piktochart.com and
demonstrate some available tools.
Distribute the fact sheets to the
students.
Tell students they will select
information from the fact sheets to
create their infographics.
Starting Day 1, Continuing Day 2
Students will work in partnerships to
create an infographic about
cyberbullying.

Closure

Day 2 or 3
Museum Walk: Students will display
their completed infographic on their
own computer screens. Students will
walk around and view each others
work.
After students have had ample time to
view each others work, students will
engage in a discussion. Students will
discuss what they learned about the
topic and infographics. Students will
also discuss what they liked or didnt
like about the process of creating an
infographic and compare it to different
types of presentation formats.
