LAST REASON

Utah is visited for its beautiful

landscape typically far from the
cities and air polluting sources.
The national parks, other than
storms, see beautiful air all year
round and that is one of the
reasons Fodors Travel named
Utah their pick for the best place
to visit in 2016.

AIR?
* Clean air would be air at its basic form.
Our atmosphere is made up of mainly two
gaseous elements: Nitrogen 78% and Oxygen
21% with about 1% of everything else.(2)
* We begin to have problems when we
start introducing particles into the
atmosphere.

Industrial pollution is pollution that is caused by

manufacturing and everyday operations of

Community contribution would be the driving of

vehicles that put C02 into the atmosphere. As well as
wood burning stoves or fireplaces. Anything that a
community does to put particles into the air qualifies
for this.

* The Environmental Protection Agency

has set up a way to rank clean air and air that
gets worse and worse. It is the air quality
index. Below is the index and what each level
means.

and trapping the air in-between the

mountains. Keeping the pollutants
held down. This happens only for
about 18 days out of the year (1). The
rest of the year it is beautiful here.
