meetings on my calendar. I will start meetings with my admins. When my admins accept the
condition of the case, they will help with all their power.
The first thing is communication accessibility. As admins we need to open our doors to
all employees in the school. Everyone can see and talk to us easily. So we will change our
regular policy to open door policy. We need to remember that communication is the key for
everything. When our admins listen to our school employees they will find the solution together.
The second thing is going to be announcements for staff, students and parents. All the
people in the school and out of school should know what will happen in the school as activities
and events. These events and activities will be easily accessible to everyone. So we are going to
put every event with details on our school website, reach the parents with school reach system by
phone and also email to all parents. Even we can send Wednesday news to the parents with their
children. So we need to use all the communication tools to reach all the parents. In these days
there are some social media tools that everyone uses. These are Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, and
Instagram. Not everyone is using all but they use some of them. As admins of the school, we
need to be sure that everyone will know what will happen in the school. When Lisa Chesser
explain the social media tools in education in her writing she says that Connecting with each
other comes to us more easily now that we can just tap away on a keyboard and chat with a
person who lives over 3000 miles away. Finding information knows no boundaries with Google
on every computer in the world. As educators, this means access to more, faster, which is
thrilling and mindboggling. However, it can also be frustrating and confusing with so much to
choose from. According to her thoughts, the social media tools are kind of ocean. When we go
so deep we can be lost in it. So we are going to choose the most used by parents and students.
with key group and develop some ideas for the school environment. So superintendents are not
working with some problem cases. They are trying to answer these kinds of questions. How can
we make our school environment more secure? How can we improve our teaching methods and
be more successful? How can we get our staff on the high level of quality? So a superintendent
should know the events to get some ideas for the other school and if the school needs help to
give them some advises well. According to North Sanpete School District; Superintendents are
not only inspectors also they have a lot of duties and responsibilities. These are a couple of them:
1.The superintendent will be responsible for development of the mission, goals, and
strategies for the district.
2. The superintendent will establish, subject to Board approval, rules and regulations for
the implementation of Board policies.
3. The superintendent will make available to all district personnel and to the general
public all newly proposed policies.
4. The superintendent will keep the Board of Education informed as to how policies are
being carried out and the effectiveness of said policies.
5. The superintendent will anticipate problems, where possible, and recommend
appropriate policies to the Board before problems actually arise.
6. The superintendent will follow the direction set by the district strategic plan and keep
the Board of Education informed of progress on the plan.
I am aware of that parents are very important legs of the education. To inform them for
the events are not going to be enough. I know that we need to involve our parents to our school
events too. When they are in the events, they will accept more responsibilities and also some
parents have very good experience on some events. So they can help us more. When we have
home visit, we can talk about our events and we can ask them for help. So home visits are
another way for external communication and I would encourage my staff to visit our students
home. There are a lot of benefits of home visiting and a lot of articles which are explain the
benefits of it. In schools which have more parents involving in the events ,there are more
successes. An article in education world says that "It's the best relationship builder you can
have," according to Jo-Lynn Nemeth, principal of McCoy Elementary School in Kansas City,
Missouri, which has been doing home visits for four years. "It's been a positive thing. Building
relationships are key. Now we have 90 percent attendance at parent conferences. People call at
the beginning of August to see when their home visits will be.
As conclusion , I would like to summarize everything that I said in my article here.
a-Try to make a positive atmosphere in and out of school.
b-Schedule all the necessary meeting with admins ,teachers ,parents and students.
c-Let the superintendents know about the events in the school.
d-Involve the parents into the events.
e-Make sure that staff are aware of the benefits of home visit and encourage them.
f-Have more staff activities to keep their friendship stronger.
