Jeff holds degrees in music composition from UCLA and the University of Texas, Austin. He successfully passed the CSET exam in music last year and is currently completing the teaching credential program at Sonoma State University. His student teaching placements Elsie Allen High School in Santa Rosa, CA, where he works with the school’s concert and jazz bands and the guitar ensemble. Jeff isa talented composer and oboe player who has performed with the SSU Concert Band this past year, and he rehearsed and conducted a piece with the group for a performance in December, 2015. ‘While I have only known Jeff for a short while, during my observations | noted that he is a diligent worker who consistently gives 100% effort. He has made terrific progress as a student teacher at EAHS, which has a diverse socio-economic student population. His lessons are always well organized, designed in accordance with the California state standards in music, and tailored to fit the needs of his students. His interactions with students are wholly positive, and they are responsive to his teaching approach. As a result, he has excellent classroom management. Jeffis a very pleasant person who gets along well with his colleagues. He possesses excellent written and oral communication skills.
