MARTIN LUTHER KING JR.


Was a civil right movement activist. He was fighting the segregation and discrimination of African-Americans.
He struggled while he was a teenager from the humiliation and segregation.

The Great Injustice Facing African-Americans at


That Time
African American people faced a history of injustice and
humiliation based on the color of their skin.
African Americans had to loose their seats in public
transportation to white people.
Furthermore, they had to stand in the back of the line in a
grocery store for white people to pay their items first.

The Turning Point for Martin Luther King

At that time, Martin used to work in agricultural. However, the


turning point was in a Montgomery county bus. When two
African-American ladies refused to gave up their seats to white
passengers and got arrested.
Moreover, thats when Martin Luther King stepped up for what it
is right, and stopped the segregation in busses in Montgomery.

I Have a Dream!
Martin Luther King had a dream of freedom of all AfricanAmericans.
He had a dream of a state with no segregation between black
and white, nor discrimination or humiliation.
He had a dream with a nation of equality and justice.

His Childhood
Martin Luther King JR. was born in a Atlanta, Georgia, in January 15, 1929.
He lived with his parents and two of his siblings, Christine and Alfred.
His mother used to teach him how to play the piano while growing up.
Martin Luther King used to work as a paper boy. And his childhood dream was to be a Fireman.
Martin used to love sports such as Football, and Baseball.

His education
While he was a child, young Martin Luther king attended two different schools. David T. Howard Elementary, then Booker T. Washington
High School.
Moreover, He attended Atlanta's Morehouse College, where he was an extraordinary student according to his teachers there.
Lastly, he attended Crozer Theological Seminary in Chester, Pennsylvania and Boston University, where he earned his Ph.D.

Martin Luther Kings Accomplishment


Martin Luther King stopped the segregation in Montgomery Bus county.
He funded The Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC), and had a big impact in American civil rights movement.
His famous I Have a Dream speech aggravate civil right movement.
In 1963, he was represented in Times magazine as the man of the year.

He was the primary reason behind African-Americans getting basic civil rights.
Martin Luther King was the youngest man ever received a Nobel peace prize.
Martin Luther King became leader to all African-Americans.
