Brazil,thegovernmentrequirescompaniestoassigneachbusinesstransactionaTransactionNaturecodefortax
purposes.Taxidentificationistheprimarypurposeofthecode.Originally,theTransactionNaturecodewasa
threecharactercodewithatwocharactersuffix.AfterJanuary01,2002thelegislationchangedandthe
TransactionNaturechangedfrom3to5digits.InallE1releases,however,the5digitTransactionNaturecodecan
onlybeviewedintheFiscalBooksandnotatthetimethesalesorpurchaseorderorNotaFiscaliscreated.The5
digitsmustbespecifiedbyeachclientaccordingtotheirbusinessneeds,theTransactionNatureCrossReference
(P76B2001)tablemustbemanuallysetup.WhenrunningtheNotaFiscalConversion(R76B200A),theTransaction
