1. INTRODUCTION
1.1. How to use this document
Internal Note: This document was prepared for internal use. For a project version
of this document, local units are responsible for deleting all GPEC, ALU internal

3. SCHEDULE
A schedule simply allows you to complete a task at a specific time or to repeat a
task for a specified number of times in a period. You can also create complex
schedules to repeat a task on specific days of week or months.
After you create a simple schedule, you can assign the schedule to 5520 AMS tasks,
such as downloading or activating software files, and backing up or restoring the
database.

4. BACK-UP
The 5520 AMS allows you to back up or restore the selected NE database.
The Backup view displays the available NEs that you can backup and restore. You
can perform a backup and restore operation at the Access Network level or from
the individual NE.
Optionally, you can apply preconfigured schedules to perform backup operations.
Check Create a Schedule for detailed information and the procedures to set up
scheduled backup activities.
Or easily select one or multiple NEs on the network tree and right click on one of
the selected NEs then navigate to Backup & Restore click on Backup.
1. Click on the open perspective button on AMS GUI main screen and choose
Backup Restore to open backup restore perspective. You can also right
click on the NE and select Backup & Restore.

2. Click on Backup on Backup Restore Tasks Tasks perspective and add the
NEs that you would like to have backup.

Apply one of the filters below and choose the NEs those you will backup.
3. If you would like to perform operation now, leave schedule option as it is and
click Finish or you can associate this task with a preconfigured schedule.
