Course Objective:
This course is prepared with the objective that the students will gain knowledge of aeroelastic nature of the materials
used on aircraft, its effect on the aerodynamic forces, stability and performance of the aircraft. Such effects, like in
case of flutter, are studied analytically.
Course Contents:
Module I: Introduction
Definition and historical background, Static and dynamic aeroelastic phenomenon, integration of aerodynamic, elastic
and inertia forces, influence of aeroelastic phenomenon on air craft design, comparison of critical speeds.
