To do this in Windows 95: 1) Double Click on the "My Computer" icon 2) Double Click on "Control Panel" 3) Double Click on "Display" 4) When in "Display Properties" click on the "Settings" tab 5) Set the Display Area to 640 x 480 6) Set the Color Palette to "High Color - 16 bit" 7) Click on "Apply" or "Ok" 8) When asked "Do you want to restart your computer now?" click on "Yes" 9) Run the application again In Windows 3.1: 1) Double Click on the "Main" panel 2) Double Click on "Windows Setup" 3) Click on "Options" 4) Click on "Change System Settings" 5) Click on the down arrow to the right of the display setting 6) Select 640x480x16bpp or 800x600x16bpp 7) If necessary insert any necessary Windows Setup disks 8) Click on "Restart Windows" 9) Run the application again If a "16bpp" setting is not available you should download a suitable display dri ver from your Windows installation disk(s).
Still having trouble?
Reset your machine. This will restore your computer to its "start up" state. The n run "D:\setup.exe" once more, where D: is the location of your CD-ROM drive. Using the "settings" utility on the main menu screen, it is possible to switch t he menu animations on and off. This will help operation on older computers. Additionally the same utility allows music and narration to be switched on and o ff.
