    PROJECT TITLE:
    Department for immigration inventory management system.
    DESCRIPTION OF THE CURRENT SYSTEM:
    Currently paper list system is used in the department to manage inventories. The
    re is a challenge to keep necessary supplies on hand and ensuring that the resou
    rces are efficiently being used.
    DESCRIPTION OF THE CURRENT SYSTEM:
    By using the proposed management system the department is able to keep track of
    supplies, evaluate the cost associated with the use of materials, reduce waste o
    f resources and be able to indentify inventory problems. It is proposed to repla
    ce current system with a new system with improved capability for management repo
    rting. It would be helpful for management to have a more flexible query and repo
    rting mechanism than exists on the current system.
