 Introduction
Hand operated Progressive die method is used for
doing punching process. It is operated manually.
There are lot of processes available for punching. This
method is based on making washers using two
punching tools. Hand operated progressive die
consists of a handle mounted on a guide. The Die is
placed at the bottom of the setup. The metal to be cut
is placed above the die.
 Problem background
 Since it is a manual process there is no fuel consumption

 The initial cost for this progressive die is less

 Accuracy is good
 Problem definition
Punching is the process of using a punch press to push a
punch through the material and into a die to create a hole
and to cut the sheet metal in the required shape.

