0 Install Procedure
1. Insert the supplied disk into your CD/DVD ROM drive.
2. Navigate Start > My Computer > X:\VAG908 (X: denotes drive letter)
3. Click on the VAG908 .exe file and drag it onto your system desktop, then plug in your
cable to an available USB port.
4. Install the program to its default location. This should be "C:\Program Files\VAG908".
5. Once the installer has run click on the "VCDS" icon on your desktop.
6. Click the "Options" button.
7. Ensure the "USB" and "Boot in intellegent mode" options are checked.
8. Click on the "User Interface and Idetification" tab at the top of the panel.
9. Select the "Never check for updates" option.
10. Now go back by clicking the "Port and Protocol Options" tab.
11. You should now see a balloon to confirm your lead is recognised.
12. Click "Test".
13. Once the software confirms your lead is ready, click "Save".
14. You're ready to begin using your lead.
15. Please never try and update the lead via the internet. A link will be mailed to you as new
versions become available to you.
