Hello - This Is Me!

Brian O’Neill
History
I grew up in St. Joseph, Michigan, just minutes
from the beautiful lake shore. I attended
Taylor University in the cornfields of Indiana
and graduated with a degree in Physics
Science Education in 2005.

Professional 2
In Sept. 2010 my wife and I moved to Mali, West Africa
to teach at Koutiala Christian Academy. Our students
are the children of American doctors working at a
women’s and children’s hospital. I’m not teaching
Physics this year.

Family
I met my wife Julie in South Korea at
TCIS, and we were married in 2008.
Our son Caleb was born on Christmas
Day 2010, here in Mali.
Our golden lab Sierra has also lived
with us in Korea and Mali.

Professional Aspirations
I love teaching Physics. My goal is to be an effective teacher
who instills knowledge and curiosity in my students; who
shares a contagious passion for Physics; who models positive
life skills; and who continually grows professionally.
It is to this last end that I have enrolled in the EDTECH
department at Boise State. I hope to learn new ways that
technology can be used to elevate students’ interest and
comprehension.

I look forward to working

with all of you this semester!
