How are you?

I had received the files from Solomon. However I am not clear with the work what I have to do. Actually
Solomon told me that you may need some up-to-date data from CSA and custom authority and there may
be other stakeholders needs these information. Therefore I couldn’t estimate the work load whether I
perform with my research work or not.

As I told you last time my home is far away from office, it needs about 1 and ½ hours for one way trip,
that means minimum I have to spend 3 hours a day which is tiresome. As you know research works
needs more concentration and dedication. Usually I am working at evening times, may be need 1or 2
hours more rest on the next day. If I committed to office work, I afraid of that office work will be
ineffective. If I extend my research beyond the scheduled time due to my personal case, the University
will not entertain my work and my sponsor, too.

Last Friday, I have discussed with professor Belay and agree on working in Addis, but he needs my report
regularly. Regarding the traders data, he advised me that the last option is calling them on their
telephone. I heard from Dr. Gezahegn, that demographic characteristics of traders were not collect due to
strange condition of traders, when the time was high food grain price inflation. Therefore I will share
professor Belay’s advice.
