HÂRN-DICE

THE CONCEPT

The goal of Hârn-Dice is to bring the panache of dice pool mechanics to the HârnMaster RPG game
system, while still retaining the flavor of its unique elements.

A critical occurs when both dice are the same ICON. For example, double STAR would be a critical.

Weapon & shield Attack/Defense class are represented by ICONS. Each ICON that turns up on the dice
the player gets a +1 to their target number. Since the ICON ratio isn't even some ICONS are more
lucrative then others. For example, the STAR ICON, is the most common. A battle sword would have a
STAR, DIAMOND, & OCTAGON Attack Class. While a Dagger would have a CIRCLE. A shield would
have a STAR, SQUARE, and DIAMOND Defense Class.

A marginal success occurs when a achieves the target number or higher. If it the roll double icon then
it becomes critical success.

A marginal failure occurs when a player misses the target number or less. It becomes a Critical Failure
if double Icons were rolled.
