A REPORT ON THE OLYMPIA COLLEGE FOOD FESTIVAL MAY 12TH 2010

The event took place on a Wednesday and the population of Olympia College was eager to see
what would be in store for them in terms of drinks, desert and of course the main course more so,
it was the first food festival in which the food was not being brought by the students but by the
members of staff.

The guest start coming in at12:10 and the eating and merry making officially began at 12:30.

The menu was a variety of rice, noodles, curry puffs, Idli, sandwiches, cakes, watermelon,
papayas, jelly, kesari, pineapples etc. Drinks consisted of lemonade, orange juice and carbonated
drinks such as coke, strawberry, menthol etc.

The attendance was not just made up of students but also distinguished members of staff such as
lecturers, counsellors, course heads, the marketing team, members from the cooperate office, Mr
Brian, the Principal, etc.

The students in attendance were from a vast range of courses such as MBA, DIT, CICT, DBM,
etc and from a vast range of nationalities as well such as Cameroon, Nigeria, Malaysia, Iran,
Indonesia, China, India, Pakistan, Nepal, Belarus, Russia, Ghana, etc.

A number of photographs were taken and they are all attached to this report.

Comment: There was not as much food as anticipated due to the unavailability of certain
members of staff. It would help if the next time such an event occurs they could inform in due
time of their eventual absence.
Proper protocol was not followed in terms of the event kick- off. Arrangements to prevent such
an occurrence from repeating itself are currently being put into place.
