POTLUCK LUNCH WITH MR.

BRIAN

On 24th September 2010 (Friday), L2 Elementary class decided to organize a potluck lunch with
the Principal of Olympia College, Mr. Brian. The purpose of this event was to build a good
relationship between the students, the lecturer and the Principal.

The event was held on the 2nd floor in one of the classroom. The event started when the girls
welcomed the honorable guest, Mr. Brian around 12.35 p.m. The event started with a brief
introduction and greetings from the students and the Principal. However, it wasn’t only the
students and the Principal that were there for the event but also some of the students brought in
their husbands, their siblings and even their mother to join for the event. The lecturers, Ms. Sulo,
Ms. Defani and Ms. Jaspreet were also welcomed to the event.

There were varieties of dishes contributed from each student in the class. Most of the foods that
were served during the event was Iranian foods since majority of L2 students are from Iran. We
had varieties of Iranian foods that were cooked by the students themselves such as adas polo,
halim bademjon, asorghh reshte, dolme, zereshk polo ba mohrg and others. We even had Malay
food served and sandwiches. For dessert, we had fruits and cake. The lunch was served in buffet
style.

The lunch was carried on with the honorable guest having the first plate followed by the lecturers
and then the students. While having their lunch, the students had the opportunity to chat with the
Principal. All of them seem to enjoy the meals served and the company of Mr. Brian.

The event ended a bit early since Mr. Brian had some unforeseen matters to attend. However, the
students didn’t forget to take a group photography session with the lecturer and the Principal.
Overall, the students really had fun on that day.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Brian for his continuous support and guidance
in making this event a success. Not to forget, the effort from L2 Elementary students for their
cooperation in putting the event together. (Photos of the event attached with this report)
