ADONAI

Revel ceaselessly oh compassionate Adonai For Thou is a great pleasure at my timeless pain Nought juvenile hour nor senile relieve from anguish snare Like engrossed termites devouring the bruised depth in wanton gain Forsaken! My wretched soul amid grand destituteness Yet grateful in this plight; in prostrate, imploring Thy mongo-seed kindness. Barrenness is lingering, rapidly waxing Whilst claiming my beloved like doomsday lightning swiftly striking His sudden demise stabbed my heart, wounded my soul Halted my breath, afflicted me more and more! But humbly with bended knees and pious eyes Pray! Thank Thee for this strife; may grow in mine a contrite heart. Chastity and obedience I ought to keep With steadfast fealty, in silence, I beweep In vain, my flesh loathingly defy Refusal to irresistible carnal desire Inordinate longing prevail in every way indulging misdeed I grow blind astray. Almighty and powerful Adonai, rejoice at my lonesome solitude Succumbing to Thy grace in undivided mood Bereavement is mine; yours is delight

Yet my pain is gain as Thou increase, I decrease. Cherubim and Seraphim sing your name dark and day Author of life Oh sweet Divine Thee If mine malady recover Thy might Perpetual misery is no blight All these I do for Thee and Thy perfect bliss That I may repay sparsely my enormous debt.
