Pneumatics _ Advanced Level

Design of Power Fluid Circuits

Design Procedure Pneumatic Controls

1. Write down the required sequence 2. Make a Displacement-step diagram and mark the piston motions 3. Provide a "Typical Configuration" for each piston. 4. Make connections according to the sequence 5. Complete the Function diagram 6. Detect "Double Command", If exists, modify your design

Design Procedure Cascade method
1. Make a Displacement-step diagram and control chart [Function diagram] 2. Write the motion sequence by using abbreviated notation 3. Divide the sequence to groups in such a way that a letter appears only once in a group 4. Determine checkback signal 5. If checkback signal is changes the group, write in lower side and changes the motion, write in the top side 6. Drawing cylinders and final control elements 7. Drawing output bus line to each group and consist cascade chain 8. Connects from port 2 of checkback signal to e1, e2, e3 and connects between port 1 and previous output[interlock]
