ABSTRACT

Background and objectives:


Every pregnancy is a unique experience for that woman experiences will be new and uniquely different. This is why it is so important that the women has a knowledge and understanding of the common disorders of pregnancy in order to advise the women on strategies that will help her to cope with the condition and minimize the effect she experiences. Although such disorders are often termed Minor Disorders, they are for from minor of the woman who is experiencing them and the woman must remember this. Mothers body will go through a lot of changes in pregnancy and some of these changes are unpleasant or even worrying. There is rarely cause for alarm and most of these changes are normal. So, minor disorders occur because of normal changes in women during pregnancy. This makes mood swings to food cravings, sleeping a lot and constipation, are just a few of the changes you will be surprised that these hormones are the ones that help her during pregnancy and the hormones that help in the development of the baby Many women experience some minor disorders during pregnancy. These disorders should be treated adequately as they may escalate and because life threatening. Every

system of the body is affected by pregnancy and women need knowledge when she presents with discomfort or worrying symptoms.

Objectives
1. Assess the knowledge of the antenatal mothers regarding the minor disorders. 2. Assess the awareness of antenatal mothers regarding the management of minor disorders.

Summary
A quantitative research approach was considered the best to assess the knowledge of antenatal mothers regarding management of minor disorders.

Conclusion
The finding related to Knowledge of antenatal mothers regarding management of minor disorders. The result of analysis of knowledge regarding management of minor disorders about the 25% having inadequate

knowledge, 65.71% having moderate adequate knowledge and 8.57% having adequate knowledge regarding the management of minor disorders.
