HAMLET Though most of Shakespeares plays were presented at different locations during the career of playwright but the

Globe Theatre, Southwark District, London, was place where the Brads renowned stage works were initially introduced. Shakespeares Hamlet is the well-known play in the English Language, written in 1601 or 1602. This tragedy play is a landmark in Shakespeares dramatic growth. He obtained artistic maturity as a playwright in this work. He brilliantly depicts the heros great effort with two opponent forces i.e. ethical integrity as well as the desire to punish his fathers murder. In this play, Shakespeares concentration on the said conflict was an innovatory departure from the existing revenge tragedies to dramatize aggressive acts on stage and he highlighted the heros dilemma instead of depicting the bloody deeds. His genius is quite evident when he transforms the plays literary sources particularly of that period the Ur-Hamlet into an excellent tragedy. With the help of these sources, Shakespeare shaped Hamlet as extremely rich and multifaceted literary work that enormously delights a broad range of people including readers as well as audiences with its countless meanings and explanations. In early 16th century, Hamlet was not famous as a play, which was greatly performed on theaters but it contributed a lot in play writing and set new trends in play writing especially in tragedy.
