BULLETIN # 10 APRIL 18, 2012

SUBJECT: REQUEST FOR AUXILIARY POLICE MEMBERS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ANNUAL POLICE ARLINGTON MEMORIAL SERVICE 1. The New York City Police Departments Traffic Squad Benevolent Association has invited uniformed auxiliary police members to attend the 4th annual Police Arlington Memorial Service on Saturday May 19, 2012 at the Cypress Hills Cemetery, Brooklyn, New York. Accordingly, auxiliary members from Patrol Boroughs Brooklyn North, Brooklyn South, Queens North, Queens South, and Citywide Traffic Task Force are asked to attend this service. 2. The memorial service pays tribute to those fallen police officers of the Metropolitan Police Department, many of whom were veterans of the Civil or Spanish-American Wars. For those who may not be aware, the Metropolitan Police Department is a predecessor agency of the New York City Police Department. 3. The Citywide Traffic Task Force Coordinator and all Patrol Borough Brooklyn and Patrol Borough Queens Coordinators are to survey their personnel to determine the number of Auxiliary Police members who will attend this memorial service. Coordinators will provide their respective borough level coordinators with this information by Friday May 11, 2012. CTTF, and Borough Coordinators concerned will collect and provide this information to their respective Auxiliary Police Section Liaison by Wednesday, May 16, 2012. 4. DATE: REPORT TIME: LOCATION: UNIFORM: All auxiliary members attending this service will report as follows: Saturday May 19, 2012 1030 hours (rain or shine) Cypress Hills Cemetery 833 Jamaica Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11208 Authorized outer garment will be the Summer Blouse, regulation hat, and white gloves. If no Summer Blouse, auxiliary member may wear long sleeve shirt with tie.

5. Auxiliary Police Coordinators and Auxiliary Police Supervisors of unit/boroughs concerned will ensure the supervision and accountability of their personnel and prepare detail rosters. Further, Auxiliary Police Coordinators and Auxiliary Police Commanding Officers will apprise members of their units of the contents of this bulletin and encourage active participation. Phylis S.
