Design: This electrically operated toilet Y 8 combines easy handling with a high degree of luxury. All used materials (red brass, stainless steel) are sea water resistant and very hard- wearing. A hard-wearing chopping pump has been put on a base made of red brass. After use of the foot pedal excrements are chopped by the pumps shredder and afterwards transported to a sewage tank or outboards. The onboard fresh water system or an external sea water pump is used to flush the toilet. The operating noise is very low so the toilet may be used during the night. Due to the use of very little wear parts this toilet is almost maintenance free. A cover for the pump unit can be delivered additionally.

Design: The Y 10 is also an electrically operated toilet with chopper pump and its description is almost the same as the one of the Y 8. The main difference is its own rinse water pump. Compared to the Y 8 it has an impeller pump built into the pump unit. When the pedal is operated rinse water is pumped and the excrements are pumped away at the same time. This toilet can pump up rinse water up to 1 metre above water line and its vertical rise is 5 metres. Therefore it is ideal for higher placed sewage tanks. Design: The Y 10 S marine toilet is a top model from the Rheinstrom product range. It meets your high requirements regarding comfort and operation fully. The technical construction equals the one of the Y 10 model. A bronze rinse water pump has been installed. It runs very quite, is easy to operate and functions optimally. By integration of a rinse water pump into the sewage pump not only a compact design but also a substantial contribution to noise reduction is achieved. The base has been covered with a GRP (glass-fibre reinforced plastic) lid to block out the remaining noises. The surface of the cover is as smooth as sanitary porcelain and therefore very easy to clean. Fields of application: This toilet can be installed above or below water line and on a sewage tank. It meets high requirements because it is easy to operate and almost maintenance-free. The method of construction makes it a hard-wearing toilet which can come into use in the industrial field or on ships with a large crew.

The Rheinstrom marine toilet Y 12 offers the best combination of safety and comfort. The bowl is made of sanitary porcelain and its dimensions are the same as the ones of a domestic toilet. The porcelain body of the toilet has four mounting holes as it is usual onboard to ensure stability and support. The main difference between the Y 12 and most of the other yacht toilets it the separation of toilet body and pump. The pump is an extremely hard-wearing diaphragm pump made of red brass. It can almost be mounted as far away as desired (max. 5 m higher, 10 m further away). Therefore there is no technical equipment in the restroom itself. Due to the use of a diaphragm pump this unit works almost noise less. It is operated by a 2 button wall panel. Operation: Before the toilet is used a small amount of water has to be admitted into the bowl by pushing the rinse button of the wall panel. The toilet is flushed either by the onboard fresh water system or a sea water pump. After the toilet has been used the second button of the wall paned is pushed and the diaphragm pump pumps the excrements out of the toilet bowl. Now the bowl can be flushed again. According to the length of the disposal outlet hose the duration of the pump time can be chosen. The advantages of the system definitely are the hard wearing diaphragm pump, the very flexible and individual possibilities of installation, the high comfort of the bowl and its extremely quiet operation. Design: This marine toilet Y 7 has been designed for the installation above water line. The distance between the base of the toilet and the water line should be at least 200 mm. The 45 seal cap has a prestressed spring and is perfectly tight. The emerging stainless steel shaft is sealed with a radial shaft seal. The complete housing is made of red brass. Rinse water can be pumped manually or electrically. Naturally it is possible to connect the toilet to the onboard water system. Fields of application: Absolutely sea water resistant. Suitable for slow running motor yachts, for passenger shipping, freighters and can be mounted to sewage tanks. The toilet can be delivered with a small or large porcelain pan. Waste water and sewage tanks

We manufacture your tank on request according to your conditions. They are made of polyethylene which is a very appropriate material for water tanks, diesel tanks and sewage tanks. Polyethylene (PE) stands out due to: low weight no rusting low noise transmission neutrality of taste (important for water tanks) no formation of condensed water When using stainless steel one has to make sure that only sea water resistant material (V 4 A) is used. There are a lot of things to consider when using stainless steel. Only a perfectly manufactured stainless steel tank which is diffusion tight will last longer than 3 years. We will need a freehand sketch, a cardboard or wood model, your old tank or a technical draft whatever will be easiest for you to provide in order to manufacture your desired tank. When planning a tank always consider the room the fittings need. Furthermore it is important to remember that the tank not only fits into its destination but also can be led through the way to get there (hatches, companionways). Each tank is manufactured according to your specified dimensions. In accordance to the static calculations wash plates will of course be installed into the tank in the diagonal and lengthwise way while the tank is built. All tanks are pressure tested and certified. Therefore the tank will be guaranteed diffusion tight. Fittings can be chosen in all common sizes (1/4" 3"). These can be mounted upright or angular. We recommend supplying each tank with an inspection lid.

Where to place a sewage tank: A sewage tank can basically be placed anywhere a pump can deliver waste water. Depending on the mounting location it can be installed higher or lower than the toilet. But it is advisable to keep the distance between the toilet and the tank as short as possible. For this there are various reasons:

The longer the distance the more rinse water is needed to deliver the waste water to the tank. The longer the distance the more hose and pipe line have to be installed (expenses). The longer the distance the higher the risk of excrements being left in the hose or pipe line causing clogging.

If it is possible to install the tank above water line it could be emptied by gravitational force. The waste water would run out of the tank automatically when the sea valve is opened (permitted only outside the 12 SM line). If the tank is to be installed below water line the disposal of the waste water into the sea (permitted only outside the 12 SM line) has to be conducted by a separate pump. It has to be made sure that no waste water will be left in the hose and pipe line system. When the hose and pipe line system is installed hollows have to be avoided, because they are a good place for waste water to cause clogging and odour nuisance.

Size of the tank: This must be the most difficult question for any ship owner. The ship owner must answer this question himself, but there are a few helpful facts to consider. A person uses the toilet approximately 2- 3 times a day. Considering the model of the toilet and the distance to the tank between 5 8 litres (S) per use are needed. Now the following calculation can be applied: Number of persons (P) x number of uses/person (B) x number of days onboard (T) = total number of use (G) PxBxT=G G x S = needed tank capacity

The Rheinstrom sewage pump T has especially been designed for the installation into sewage tanks. All parts are made of sea water resistant materials and are maintenance-free. The pump has to be installed from the top. The pumps techniques are the same as the shredding technique (macerator). A shredding wheel chops up the excrements and pumps them out via a centrifugal wheel. You can choose from three different standard sizes (200 mm/400mm/600mm) and special sizes on request. The pump can be fitted to the desired immersed length by adapting the length of the pump shaft. K 10

The Rheinstrom centrifugal pump K 10 is one of the strongest pumps on the market and is equipped with a vortex wheel made of bronze. The big suction and pressure connections cause a high degree of safety against clogging and big amounts of sewage are transported out of the sewage tank. The sewage pump M is a self-priming diaphragm pump. It works without a shredder. Even bigger solids can be conveyed without damaging the pump because of the lip valves which have been installed. The self-locking valves make the pump non-reactive, i.e. it can be mounted to the side standing, hanging or sideways. The intake and discharge bent is revolving. This is necessary for better connecting possibilities of the suction and pressure hoses. The suction and pressure connections usually go from left to right. They can easily be changed, if the suction way should go from right to left or from the bottom to the top. All parts which come into contact with water can be ordered in red brass or aluminium. The pump can be delivered with a 12 V or 24 V motor. Continuous operation 1 2 hours. M 60 K
The RHEINSTROM sewage pump M 60 K is a self-priming diaphragm pump used to transport sewage from a sewage tank or as an on land unit. It is made of high grade bronze and equipped with heavy ball retaining valves. All other parts which come into contact with the conveying means are made of sea water resistant materials such as stainless steel and bronze. The pump is naturally self-priming when dry, nonreactive to running dry and applicable for continuous operation. The pump has to be mounted in an upright position to enable the ball retaining valves to close automatically. So the pump can convey bigger solid materials, e.g. rags.

Hot water
- anywhere, anytime from the cooling system of the motor boat engine. The Rheinstrom hot water tanks offer the greatest possible comfort even when the use of energy is low. They supply hot water during the trip and keep it warm for a period of 24 hours after the end of the trip which is typical for Rheinstrom hot water tanks. Design: Maintenance-free, very heavy walled, pressure checked V4A vessel which comes in 7 sizes to be adaptable to demands and possibilities. The unit can be run on low energy by using an additional electric heating (0.5 KW 3 KW) because in many tests the isolation has been optimized. This shell comes naturally with an overheating protection (230 V connection).The safety valve which has been installed into the cold water area of the vessel has been checked by the Technical Inspection Agency. Fields of operation: On ships with water cooled motors the hot water tank is installed into the cooling system. The heating-up time of the tank depends on the power of the motor and the lengths of the pipes. Due to the thought-out design the installation is very easy. A drilling pattern comes with each station. We deliver hot water tanks starting from a size of 10 litres in a lying design. The fittings of this tank are rotating and easy to shift so that the tank can easily be installed on the bottom, on the side and on the top.

Design: Water heater, which can be installed in a standing or lying position. The water is heated by a heating coil (1/2" connection) rapidly. When the heater is installed in a lying position the cold water connection (1/2") has to be turned down and the hot water exit up. This series is equipped with a solid isolation, which guarantees a heat-storage of at least 24 hours. In comparison with other boilers on the market this boiler achieves the best utilization coefficient by using considerable longer heat exchanger. Sizes from 15 l 115 l. Special designs can be custom-built if demanded, e.g. installation of a second and third heating coil in order to hook up two motors, a generator or electric water heater. M 50

This Rheinstrom bilge pump is the ultimate choice in any way. Highest pump performance at almost no signs from wearing during operation practically clogging-free real fast to clean. A long handy hand lever makes an easy operation possible even over a longer period of time. Big connections and the special design protect it against clogging. Even foreign matters such as rags can be transported though. Easy cleaning, fast maintenance after opening the inspection lid there is a direct access to the valves. Design: The pump body has been cast with an aluminium alloy. After the mechanical finishing it gets a hard-wearing coat. Valves and diaphragms are made of neoprene. All screws are made of stainless steel. Installation: There are uncountable ways of installation and mounting (foot mounting and rear mounting). By turning the top about 180 the discharge and suction side is changed (intermediary stages every 45). The pump lever can also be mounted on the opposite side.

The M 60 is a self-priming and smoothly running diaphragm pump used to deliver sea water. All parts which come into contact with liquids are made of bronze or stainless steel. The used rubber parts are oil-resistant. The pump is non-reactive to running dry and very suitable for continuous operation. The M 60 is equipped with flap valves which open all the way. Therefore it can convey bigger solids such as rags. The pump can be mounted in various ways, etc. lying, upright, above head or hanging. The delivery side can be adjusted from left to right, or right to left or from up to down and down to up. The fields of operation of the M 60 are on bigger yachts or in professional shipping as a hard-wearing bilge pump.

Due to its hard-wearing industrial motor a longlasting and reliable operation is guaranteed. Before it is run for the first time it has to be filled with water. The 6 E is a self-priming bilge and deck wash pump which can also deliver sea water. Its special design makes it non-reactive to sand (particle size up to 6 mm), rust or other pollutants. The use of a freely running impeller wheel and a very modern axial face seal make this pump almost completely maintenance-free. The motor is suitable for continuous operation. We recommend the installation of a socket safety valve or a foot operated valve into the suction pipe. After this has been done the pump has to be filled with liquid before the first run only. It is not necessary to refill the pump in case the liquid column has dropped. Air bubbles in the pipe system do not disturb the working reliability of the pump.

The Rheinstrom impeller pump IP 50 can be used to deliver drinking water or grey/bilge water. All parts which come into contact with water are made of non-rusting materials.
