CORNERSTONE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PROGRAM ADMINISTRATION

As of July 28, 2012

The goal of Cornerstone is to bring the love of Christ to the public schools. While Cornerstone is a CFC Church of the Poor education program, it is a gateway evangelization and a tool for pastoral formation of CFC and the Family Ministries. The program development and implementation of the Cornerstone Program is fully integrated in the structure of CFC and each of the Family Ministries SECTOR/PROVINCIAL CORNERSTONE PROGRAM TEAM Head: CFC Cornerstone Sector/Provincial Coordinator Members: SFC Provincial CC For reading Tutorial KFC Provincial CC for Kids VF/ Trainor for Parenting HOLD Provincial Coordinator for the ang ganda mo component of parenting CFC Cluster Head in charge of the school for parenting and CLP ANCOP CSP Coordinator Roles and responsibilities of the Cornerstone Sector/Provincial Coordinator: Promote CFC convergence and maximize the evangelization potential Ensure that all Ministries have adequate support (materials and budget) and coordinators for each school Ensures that CFC and the CFC Ministry concerned appoints the Component Team Leaders per school and implement the program at the right time. Ensure program components are understood and coordinated adequately among ministries and CFC for implementation Ensures that each team member plays an oversight role for his/her CFC or ministry assignment Reports directly to the AGT and gets approval for support of all program components Calls for a Sector/Provincial assessment meeting before the school Orientation Day, Med year assessment and Year end Moving up CORNERSTONE SCHOOL TEAM Each Cornerstone School should have a school Team composed of the following: 1. 2. 3. 4. The components of the Cornerstone Elementary Program: 1. The Elementary Reading Tutorial 2. The Kids Values Formation (leading to KFC Camp)

3. The Parenting Formation (leading to CLP)

The CFC Cornerstone School Coordinator NOTE: In the pilot Sector North B, each CFC Cluster Head where the school is under is the CFC Cornerstone School Coordinator. It allows him to be able to generate the support of the Chapters around the schools and the necessary support for the Ministries concerned. However, in Sectors/Provinces that only have 1 elementary school, the Sector/Provincial Coordinator may choose to be the School Coordinator to study the program before expansion. The CFC Cornerstone School Coordinator may also assume any other function related to Cornerstone in the Sector or in the School as assigned. Functions: Responsible for initial coordination/school visitation with the principal especially for the Cornerstone opening, special activities, and entry of CFC CLP. Responsible for ensuring CFC support such as provision of weekly snacks, volunteers for parenting formation, coordination with the E&M Coordinator in the chapter/cluster near the school for CLPs, financial support for materials to be used for tutorial and Kids VF and other needs Oversees the implementation of Cornerstone in the school. Conducts/Calls for a Coordination meeting among the Team Leaders for purposes of preparation for activities, reporting, feedback, provision of support (financial and volunteer) for the school. Reports directly to the Sector Cornerstone Coordinator

Functions of the SFC Tutorial Team Leaders: Takes the lead in the reading tutorial organizing in SFC Directly responsible for the program implementation of the reading tutorial. Ensures volunteers are trained to conduct reading tutorial Conducts pre-and post tutorial meetings Monitoring and evaluation of reading tutorial Plans and coordinates improvements on program implementation Coordinates closely with KFC for the Kids VF implementation Coordinates closely with the CFC Cornerstone School Coordinator for snacks, materials, and other needs Attends and coordinates trainings for volunteers Reports directly to the SFC Sector Couple Coordinator; submits required reports and coordinates closely with the SFC CC and the SFC FT in charge of the Sector

Functions of the KFC School Team Leader Takes the lead or coordinates training for the Kids VF/Rock Training for Cornerstone volunteers Coordinates closely with Rock volunteers and SFC tutors and trains them to provide Kids VF. Ensures that there is an assigned volunteer to conduct Kids VF weekly Ensures that materials for Kids VF are available for use of the volunteers Provides weekly presence in the school and coordinates/build relationships with teachers/principal/ and parents to assure them of a parent presence during the sessions for children. Ensures monitoring and evaluation of Kids VF and determines readiness to conduct a kids camp Coordinates with KFC In the chapter or cluster for integration of children who undergo camps to KFC Assist in the parenting formation as needed Reports directly and provides required reports to the CFC Cornerstone School Coordinator , the KFC Sector Coordinator and the KFC FT in charge of the Program.

Functions of the CFC Parenting Formation Team Leader Attend and invite other volunteers to attend training as Parenting formation facilitators Organize CFC parenting formation schedule for the school/s Coordinate closely with KFC facilitators and trainors. Submit the list of trained facilitators in the sector Coordinate with HOLD Ang ganda MO Coordinator in the Sector for their portion in the parenting formation Facilitate in parenting formation and encourage more volunteers to participate and to conduct home visitation for parents who do not attend the parenting formation Coordinate and build relationships with the principal and teachers and how CFC can help in the school. Offer parenting also to other parents through the principal. At the proper time, invite parents to a community based CLP. Directly responsible for the oversight of the school component implementation. When relationships have been formed, invite principal and teachers to CLPs at the proper time. Reports directly to the CFC Cornerstone School Coordinator and submits required reports to the KFC FT and the Cornerstone Office
