Living Faith Society!
Now is a great time to sign up to give monthly to the University
Catholic Center! If you love the UCC and want to invest in its
mission, join the Living Faith Society, a group of dedicated bene-
factors who support the UCC on a monthly basis. There are many
reasons to donate with your credit/debit card or direct debit: earn
miles, track your financial records more easily, receive instant
acknowledgment for your gift, and so on.
As a Living Faith Society member, you will receive the Living
Faith Devotional booklet four times a year, in addition to the
University Catholic Center’s newsletter with updates on how
your contribution is allowing our students to strengthen their
faith, develop their gifts, and grow into passionate faithful Catho-
lic leaders.

Help Needed at Catholic Charities Food Pantry
Catholic Charities of Central Texas needs volunteers who can
work in its food pantry interviewing and serving clients on Fri-
days from 10:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Bilingual is a plus, although
not required. Help is also needed to replenish the pantry shelves
and take inventory on Fridays from 2 to 4 p.m. and to restock the
pantry shelves on Thursdays from 10 a.m. to noon.

Paulist Fun Fact of the Week:
The Paulist Fathers were the first men’s religious
order founded in the United States of America by
an American citizen. In 1858, Fr. Issac Hecker and his four
companions founded the Paulist Fathers.

Micah 6 Food Pantry
UCC participates in the ecumenical Micah 6 food
pantry through donation and volunteering on
Thursdays and Saturdays. Many of the people we
serve are homeless. Don’t forget our “neighbors” who have
nothing during the fall. Please bring canned goods and packaged
dry goods to Sunday Mass for the baskets near the fountain. We
ask that you continue to support the Micah 6 Food Pantry with

Want to be Confirmed?
Bishop Aymond will celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation at
the UCC on Sunday, April 19 at the 8 p.m. Mass. Any students
wishing to be confirmed then should register for weekly classes
that will begin on January 27. Jim Harrington and Deacon John
will coordinate the gatherings. The on-line confirmation
registration form is found at www.utcatholic.org. There is a no
fee, and all registrants will need to provide their baptismal
certificates. Contact Deacon John for any additional details.

Do you enjoy scrapbooking? Do you love the UCC? If so, we are
looking for a volunteer to put together a scrapbook to commemo-
rate the 100th Anniversary of Catholic campus ministry at UT. If

Dominican Sisters Explore the Call Retreat
The Dominican Sisters will host a weekend retreat Jan. 23-25 for
women between the ages of 18 and 40 who are discerning the
call to religious life. The retreat will run from Friday at 5 p.m. to
Sunday at 11 a.m. and it will be held at 9527 Sinsonte in San
Antonio. The retreat will include quiet time for reflection, group
discussion and prayer. The deadline to register is Jan. 14 and the
cost is $35 per person. For more information, contact Sister

Integrity in Ministry policies require that you report that informa-
tion to the diocesan vicar general at (512) 949-2403 or superin-
tendent of schools at (512) 949-2400. A Notice of Concern can
also be submitted and is available on our diocesan Web site,
www.austindiocese.org (click on the link HOW TO REPORT
ABUSE). These reports may be made anonymously. It is also
state law that abuse and/or neglect of a minor must be reported to
local law enforcement or the Texas Department of Family and
Protective Services at 1-800-252-5400 or www.dfps.state.tx.us.

Prayer Request for Zach
Zach Rodriguez is a 9 year old from Pflugerville. Please pray for
Zach as he battles leukemia. Due to complications including
brain surgery, in just 4 months his insurance is about to reach it’s
lifetime limit. He still has years of chemo to go. Please pray for
him & if possible donate a monetary gift to the Zach Gift Fund.
