I am Lorelyn Galarrita Turtosa-Dumaug, the incumbent deputy chairwoman of the 1st district of Cagayan de Oro City and the Regional Political Communications Officer of the CDP Northern Mindanao and just last September 28, 2012 National Council elected me as the new Secretary General of our party. It is a great honour and privilege on my part to be elected to this post and I thank our former president now our new party chairman, Mr. Lito Monico C. Lorenzana for the confidence he bestowed by nominating me and for the general confidence of votes I garnered from the National Council delegates. I shall with all dedication and professionalism imbued with a sense of purpose to serve the vision that we have which is to better the lives and improve the dignity of every Filipinos and that we become the first national political party of this country not controlled by few but by every Filipino willing to put a stake to our cherished democracy. Today as I begin to take my official duty as Secretary General of the CDP, I would like to take advantage of this moment to reach each one of you across this country to let you know how much I need each of your committed efforts and action to seriously battle the ills of our democracy and day by day we gather more Filipinos to join us by inspiring them, not only of our words but by our deeds, wherever they are in the country and of the world. To all the district officers, the regional council officers, members of the national council and the national congress, I count on all of you.
