Learning Outcomes
1. Demonstrate the skills to audition effectively for a specific music role and identify strengths and areas for development. This task covers part of Unit 365 Auditioning for Music.
Assignment In preparation for your audition for a top London house band you will create and deliver a presentation on your preparation methods for the audition. Included within this you will need to perform one of your proposed audition pieces, explaining why you feel it is an appropriate choice. Within your presentation you must discuss any particular things you feel you need to look out for in such an audition and how you will present/carry yourself. Be sure to consider your personal goals within the presentation. Your presentation must last between 4 and 5 minutes.
D.1: Through the production of an inspiring, yet focused and achievable plan, evidence clear understanding of what the audition will look and feel like and how they will engage with it in relation to their personal goals. Within the plan there will be strong evidence of clear understanding of where potential issues may lie with clear strategies in place for how these may be overcome effectively. Clear understanding of the relevant health and safety implications associated with auditioning in this context will be evident, with clear understanding of where issues may occur and how they may be avoided. There will be no tutor input into this undertaking.
