have been for 4 full days now. Trip from Cebu to Hong Kong to Los Angeles
We were blessed to be on one of the last flights out of Cebu on October 24th because of an approaching typhoon and flew to Hong Kong to connect to a flight to LAX. Our flight was smooth and we arrived on time. We prayed for no problems at immigration and the Lord blessed us with a Filipino Immigration Officer who was very friendly, explained some things to us and sent us through in less than 2 minutes. We then passed through customs in about 10 minutes in line and we didnt have to open any bags. We were greeted by Jerry Davis from CC Downey and driven back to the house by our host Maurice Carretta. So far Sheilani is jet lagged but enjoying America and the food of our country.

Christmas Celebrations
Two major Christmas celebrations will take place in December as well as individual ministry celebrations. On December 15 there will be a celebration for over 1,500 children teaching them about the true meaning of Christmas, feeding them and hopefully providing a small gift for each of them. On Sunday the 16th, after our service we will have a church wide Christmas celebration including a Christmas message, worship, games and good food. Both of these celebrations will be held at the APAS Barangay Hall near our church. We encourage our members to bring unsaved friends so it will also be an evangelistic outreach.
SHCC Coverage

The leadership of SHCC will be responsible for the operation of the church. Each leader has been assigned duties to ensure a smooth operation while we are away. In addition, we have guest teachers for the English service on five different Sundays. Pastor Lolo Lloyd from Calvary Chapel Bible College-Philippines will teach th December 9 and January 20th and Pastor Boy Borbajo will teach November 18, December 16th and January 13th. The rest of the English services will be taught by Erwin Pinatil from our congregation who used to be a pastor in another church and currently teaches our Mens Ministry.

Last October 27, the Young Adults came to do general cleaning at the church. Some of the youth and kids also came and helped them clean.

The caretaker of the house also came that day and help the property (electrical lines) and they also help us trim the trees
