Santa Comes to Bay Street (SCTBS) is a registered charity made up of volunteers who have generously given their time to help less fortunate families over the past nine years. Launched in 2003 as a grass roots organization SCTBS has cobbled together over 5,000 gift bags for moms and their children in shelters and outreach programs across the GTA. This would not have been possible without the generosity of both individual and corporate sponsors. As a corporate sponsor, your generous donation will enable us to provide children and families with important necessities and little pleasures, such as hats, gloves, PJs, toothbrushes, toothpaste, crafts, meal certificates and toys. SCTBS has no employees and do not receive any government funding. SCTBS tries its best to fulfill the wishes of women and children in shelters and outreach programs in the GTA. SCTBS asks individual donors to purchase a requested gift in the range of $25-$30. We ask corporations to donate generously to care for selected shelters. These gift bags are given to women and children in supported shelters in the GTA and in the shelters outreach programs. While these organizations provide much needed important services, we at SCTBS want to fill the gap that exists for these displaced families during the Holiday Season. Last year we delivered 1,200 bags. This year with your help we will bundle 1,400 gift bags, an overall increase of 17%. However, we cannot do this alone and need your support to reach our goal. 9th annual Gift-Bagging event at the Design Exchange on Bay Street

Help spread the joy of holiday magic to displaced families in need of a little extra support during the season of giving. Join us on November 19th, 2012 at the Design Exchange building 234 Bay Street, Toronto, ON, M5K 1B2. A DJ will be spinning holiday cheer as the elves merrily package gift bags for women and children in Toronto area shelters. The Bay street community will convene to create customized gift-bags for this years 1,400 participants with gifts bought by individual and corporate sponsors. The toys from Santas list are wrapped up with clothes and necessities and bundled into Santas sleigh. Any help you can provide is truly appreciated.
