The breast is an organ

The mammary gland is the only organ that is not fully developed at birth From birth to puberty (first menstrual period) breast cells are immature and cancer vulnerable At 32 weeks of pregnancy, life preserving breast cell changes occur:
During the last 8 weeks of a full term pregnancy, breast cells matures into milk producing cancerresistant cells

Pregnancy is protective against breast cancer

This is a universally undenied medical fact Full term pregnancies close to onset of menstruation protect women from breast cancer The first, early full term pregnancy is the most protective of all It is also the most aborted of all Breast feeding is protective - A new study has found that breastfeeding does not make breasts sag. This news will be welcome to nursing mothers who may well have been deterred from breast feeding because they thought it might adversely affect the shape of their breasts. How does breast cell conversion (differentiation) occur?

Before puberty TYPE 1 breast cells form At puberty more estrogen causes growth of TYPE 2 lobules Pregnancy rapidly increases estrogen levels causing a dramatic healthy growth of TYPE 1 and TYPE 2 breast cells into healthy tissue At 32 weeks of pregnancy, most TYPE 1 and TYPE 2 lobules are changed into TYPE 3 and 4 breast cells.

Think: BROCCOLI

FLORETS

Type 4 lobules are the milk producing breast cells Both TYPE 3 and TYPE 4 breast cells are essentially immune to breast cancer

TAINO WOMAN

61

Effect of first full term pregnancy on risk

A full term pregnancy dramatically reduces lifetime breast cancer risk by changing the immature breast cells into mature ones The FIRST full term pregnancy has the greatest risk-reducing effect since more type 1 and 2 lobules are present prior to this pregnancy than just before any subsequent pregnancies

Salish-Kootenai Reservation 071110

Native Life

62

Subsequent pregnancies further reduce lifetime risk

Reducing the time interval from first menstruation until the first full term pregnancy also serves to limit overall lifetime risk

British life insurance actuaries are using abortion rates to predict breast cancer deaths (Patrick Carroll

The rst trend is that upper-class women are the most likely to develop breast cancer and die of the disease Abortion before a rst birth and delayed rst birth among upper class women provide the best explanations for this trend, according to Carroll

[(1997)New Engl J Med 336:1834] "However, even Melbye reported within the body of the study that: '[w]ith each one-week increase in the gestational age of the fetus . . . there was a 3 percent increase in the risk of breast cancer.'" [Melbye et al. (1997) New Engl J Med 336:83] The World Health Organization published its study in 1970 and said that the results "suggested increased risk associated with abortion -- contrary to the reduction in risk associated with full-term births." News From the Abortion Breast Cancer Coalition (ABCC) Web-site: www.abortionbreastcancer.com On March 13, 2000 The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists became the world's first medical organization to warn its abortion providers that the abortion-breast cancer link "cannot be disregarded" and that a 1996 review of the worldwide studies done by Dr. Joel Brind, President of the Breast Cancer Prevention Institute, was "carefully conducted" and "had no major methodological shortcomings." ["Evidence-based Guideline No. 7: The Care of Women Requesting Induced Abortion," Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Press Conference, March 13, 2000.] Mrs. Karen Malec, President of ABCC, said "Now that 27 out of 33 worldwide studies have reported a link between abortion and breast cancer (13 out of 14 of which are American studies reporting a link) and 43 years since the first study, the New England Journal of Medicine has finally chosen to recognize the overwhelming evidence of an abortion-breast cancer link."
