For many years, it has been the tradition here at Holy Innocents to offer a FREE hot Thanksgiving meal with all the fixings immediately after the Mass on Thanksgiving Day. The committee which is organizes this annual event is asking for donations of pre-cooked turkeys as well as deserts. TRADITIONAL LATIN MASS EVERY 4th SUNDAY @ HOLY INNOCENTS

Next Sunday, November 25, and EVERY FOURTH SUNDAY, the Traditional Latin Mass will be offered here at Holy Innocents at 9am. Please support these efforts by attending these Masses, spreading the word about them and giving generously to our parish.

oly Innocents is proud to announce that Pastor Walter Hoye, pro-life hero and activist, will be speaking at the School Hall (2500 Pacific Ave) on Monday, November 19 at 7:30pm. Come and hear an inspirational talk on the pro-life movement in the wake of the re-election of President Obama. Where do we go from here? Pastor Hoye will also be speaking about abortion in the African American community and how the abortion industry targets racial minorities. Walter Hoye is a nationally recognized pro-life leader. All are welcome and this event is FREE.

FIESTA NAVIDEA para BEBITOS

El da 1 de Diciembre tendremos una FIESTA NAVIDEA para BEBITOS, de 12 del medio da a las 2pm en el saln parroquial de Santos Inocentes. En preparacin para las celebraciones Navideas, el Club de Nias de la Ciudad de Cerritos les invita a un Baby Shower para recaudar objetos necesarios para los bebitos necesitados de las familias en nuestra parroquia. Si desean acompaarnos, favor de avisar que puede asistir llamando a la oficina parroquial 562-591-6924. Necesitamos lo siguiente: ropa para bebitos, paales, zapatitos, calcetines, toallas, cobijitas, shampoo y otros artculos para bebes.

Rediscovering the Treasures of Our Faith
A TALK ON THE TRADITIONAL LATIN MASS Monday, November 26 @ 7:30pm there will be an interesting presentation about the Tradition Latin Mass (TLM), also known as the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite. Mr. Justin Vandermost, will take us step by step through the TLM to help us to understand it better and pray it well. You will be enthralled with the richness of the gestures and symbols that are employed in the ancient Mass. Attendance at this class is highly recommended during this Year of Faith. Dont miss it.

In order for Holy Innocents to continue to serve this community, we need to collect at least $6,500 a week. Up until about a month ago, we were collecting far less and were starting to get behind in our payments to the Archdiocese. I am asking parishioners to consider setting aside one hour of their work week and offer it as a prayer for their parish. I am also suggesting that the amount earned in that hour be set aside and placed in the following Sundays collection basket at Mass. We were $200 short this week, but this shortfall was more than compensated for by a couple who presented me with $1000 after one of the weekday Masses. Thanks to all!

Year of Faith Advent Mission

For the past several years, Fr. Thomas Cusack, S.S.C., has given our Parish Mission on the 4 consecutive Sundays of Advent. We are very blessed that Father Tom will be joining us again. Begin now to invite family and friends to this Advent Mission. He will be preaching at all the English weekend Masses on the following topics: December 1-2: Faith Journeys and Faith Experiences. December 8-9: Mary, Mother of the Church. December 15-16: Vocation to Priesthood and Religious Life. December 22-23: The Catholic Church The Mystical Body of Christ.

f you voted for the re-election of President Obama, whether you know it or not, you voted against God and against His Holy Church: Why do I say this? Because your vote for Barack Obama translated into a vote for more aborted babies, for the destruction of the family through the promotion of homosexual marriage and for the removal of the Constitutional guarantee of religious liberty. Obama's second term as President will see the American economy continue its downward spiral. Social unrest will escalate and the world will be far less safe. Do not doubt it. We move forward but without the blessing of God. Soon enough the clueless adoring throngs of Barack Obama will regret the decision they made on that day of infamy, November 6, 2012. But then, alas, it will be too late. The Catholic Church in America on its own could have prevented this if only her bishops and priests had acted more like shepherds and less like bureaucrats. They failed to instruct the faithful. They failed to admonish the sinner (e.g., the Ted Kennedys, the Joe Bidens and the Nancy Pelosis of the Catholic Church). With only a handful of exceptions, the Churchs leaders offered a faint whimper in the face of the Obama administrations bald-faced aggression against the Catholic Church and other people of faith. Hispanic Catholics could have and should have made the difference, but they cast their votes overwhelmingly for the President (71% to 21%). God is not mocked. We have reaped the whirlwind by our sins and now the chastisement is upon us. The only thing left for us now is to finally get serious about becoming saints as we cry out for Gods mercy. So, my fellow Catholics, get ready for battle. Its Cristiada time. Viva Cristo Rey! Viva la Virgen de Guadalupe! Father G. Peter Irving III
