SBC of Virginia (SBCV) is sending a Ministry/Construction missions team to Haiti, from December 7-16, 2012. There are seven (7) registered to go, however we still have five (5) openings. If God is speaking to you about serving in Haiti and you are available, please join the December 7-16, 2012 team. When we receive your registration we will promptly reply to you with the additional information needed for the trip.

Rebuild Haiti Trip Registration FAQ's

Remember passports must be current and shots are required. Go to http://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/destinations/haiti.aspx for travel and shot information. The total cost of the trip is approximately $1500 (depending on airfare from your location). We have budgeted about $800 for airfare and the other $700 for Haiti in country expenses, such as: accommodations, meals, transportation, and security. Please confirm your place on the team by using the URL (LINK) above to register for the trip then make a $700.00 check payable to SBCV with "Rebuild

All team members are required to arrive in Haiti on the same flight. Therefore we plan to overnight in Miami on Friday December 7, 2012. SBCV will make your hotel reservation for the overnight stay in Miami. On Saturday, December 8th, we will depart Miami International Airport at 10:15am for Haiti on American Airlines Flight # 1143 (see Miami to Haiti flight schedule below). We encourage you to purchase your airline ticket as soon as possible using the information below for the Miami to Haiti leg of the trip.

Rebuild Haiti December Trip Important Dates and Details:

Due with Registration: $700.00 Deposit - to SBCV with "Rebuild Haiti 12/2012" in memo section of check Total Cost: Approximately $1,500 - Final cost depends on airfare from your location. Plan to bring enough cash to cover the cost of your Friday night meal and Saturday morning breakfast at Miami International Airport. You will need

additional funds if you desire to bring back mementos from Haiti.

The ministry team will be led by Pastor Eric Scholten, Living Proof Baptist Church, Williamsburg, VA. They will conduct a pastor and adult leaders' conference on Biblical Discipleship and will sponsor a week of VBS for the children. The construction ministry will be led by Paul Wallace and will focus on completing a 60 ft X 36 ft building to be used for worship, school, medical missions, and an emergency shelter.
