The company was founded in 1955 by Mr. F. Micheletti and was initially registered under the name F. Micheletti. In 1963 the company was incorporated as Micheletti & Co. Ltd, a private limited liability company under the Companies Code 1963 (Act 179). As a result of improved performance over the years the company obtained government certification under Financial Class "D1" and "K1" Ministry of Works and Housing Cert. registration # D 00425A.

The year 2004 saw the company enter into a new era. Ghanas continued economic growth and the strength of the local market created new opportunities for construction companies in Ghana. In the case of Micheletti & Co. Ltd, the companys solid construction reputation resulted in a buy-out by new shareholders thereby providing Micheletti & Co. Ltd with the management, technical and financial capacity to compete in one of the most vibrant markets in West Africa. As a result of the new ownership, the company is now part of a broader group of companies engaged in Civil Engineering, Construction and Construction Products and Estate Development.This link provided by the new ownership offers significant benefits to both the Company and potential Clients through Strategic alliances.

A multi-use, 40,000 all-seater stadium in Accra, upgraded and modernised to meet FIFA standards for the CAN 2008 cup. The work is characterised by the demolition of the East, South and part of the VIP and North Stands to be reconstructed in steel structures. A new roofing structure on the VIP Stand is also designed and cladding finishes applied to the external structure. New changing rooms, a new field and commercial centre are also part of the project.

Micheletti & Co. Ltd have been appointed as the coordinating building works subcontractor for the refurbishment of several buildings at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra. The works are separated into five separate buildings which include the refurbishment of the three existing buildings namely the theatre, sterilisation and mortuary buildings as well as the construction of new double storey extensions to both the theatre and mortuary buildings. The scope, therefore, includes both new build and refurbishment elements and a key role of the coordinating subcontractor is to fully coordinate the services aspects of the project with the building and fit-out aspects.

This coordination role also encompasses the facilitation of decanting of hospital operations from occupied buildings whilst minimizing disruption and inconvenience to staff and patients. The challenges presented by a functioning hospital facility during construction require careful and detailed planning and clear communication of activities to affected stakeholders.
