Grieving Through the Holidays


A bereavement support group will begin on Wednesday, December 5, in the basement of the Parish Life Center. (Enter from the lower level parking area.) Six weekly sessions will give you the opportunity to share with other grieving people who can understand and support you through your journey. For those unable to attend weekday meetings,

We thank all who helped with the Spaghetti Dinner held on October 28. The amount raised was $5,622. The proceeds helped the two Grandview families whose double house recently suffered fire damage. A special thanks to the Knights of Columbus for all their efforts.

THE MONTHLY BAPTISM CLASS is scheduled for Sunday, December 2 @ 2:00p in the Parish Life Center (Lower Level). This is a mandatory class for all first time parents wishing to have their baby baptized at Our Lady of Victory. PRESENTATION ON CHRISTIAN PHILOSOPHY. The Pontifical College Josephinums 2012-13 Priests, Poets, and Philosophers series continues Thursday, December 6, as Mr. Christopher Hallada, a seminarian from the Archdiocese of Santa Fe, presents The Way to Christian Philosophy: Explorations of Faith and Reason in Pavel Florensky, Edith Stein, and Jean Luc Marion at 7:00 p.m. in the Jessing Center on the Josephinum campus. ST. VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT TREE


The St Vincent de Paul Society annual Christmas Ornament Tree is in the vestibule. With your support, we have been able to help needy families in our community. Please contact Pat Feamster @ 459-3683 or 657-2375 with any questions.

CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT TREE INSTRUCTIONS:


1). Remove and take the ornament for the gift that you wish to purchase. 2). Find the sign-up sheet that matches the family you have selected. Sign your name and phone number next to the gift you are going to purchase. 3). Wrap the gift and return the gift to the vestibule with the ornament securely attached to the gift. (The ornament identifies who is to receive the gift). 4). Please attach the gift receipt because clothing items may not fit and toys dont always work. 5). Please return the gifts to the Vestibule by Sunday, December 16th. 6). Please include batteries or other items that may be needed to use the gift. 7). Please put gift cards in gift bags so they are not lost.
