On November 30th, December 1st and 2nd2012, IndiEarth will conduct for the first time in India, a think-tank exchange with delegates from India and 11 other countries. An EarthSync initiative, IndiEarth was born to support India's independent musicians and filmmakers. IndiEarth XChange brings you music from India, the Indian Ocean region and beyond. This 3 day think tank event will focus of on the non-mainstream industry and collaborations, to pave the way for the development of the music scenario in the region. The music festival, will showcase a host of artists representing countries like France, The Reunion Islands, Australia and The United Kingdoms, with a mix of artists from India. Here are a few popular names that will be present at the Festival of Music. Sing Sing - AUSTRALIA / FIJI Wantok Musik Foundations Sing Sing, from Papua-New Guinea, Australia, Fiji and Oceania, is a musical gathering where tribes and villages share their dance and song. Sing Sing will perform on Sunday 2nd December at the Sansara Stage Park Hotel. Nathalie Natiembe - REUNION ISLAND Nathalie Natiemb is a phenomenon. She uses her voice like no one else through multiple influences and crossbred sounds. She is immersed in jazz, reggae and rock too and mingles the latter with her maloya. Gwyneth Glyn and Tauseef Akhtar - UK / INDIA Fusing guitar and harmonium and the Urdu music tradition Gazal, with its strictly metered poetic lyrics, and the ancient folk poetry of Wales' Hen Benillion for the first time ever, Mumbai based musician, Tauseef Akhtar, and Welsh musician and poet, Gwyneth Glyn, are bringing to life a new shared voice and sound. Seema Kohli lives in Delhi. Her works which include paintings and sculptures celebrate womanhood. Important works of hers have found their way into public and private collections across the world, most recently at the Rubin Museum, New York; the New Delhi International Airport and the Indian Defense Ministry. Celebrating Life - Exhibition of drawings and paintings by KG Narendra Babu

A prolific painter, Narendra Babu from Kancheepuram is a product of the Govt. College of Arts and Crafts Chennai. His works are greatly inspired by weaving craft, temple sculptures, everyday life of people combined with fantasy world. His canvas is filled with hundreds of drawings and motifs in bright Indian palette. He also works for the weavers service centre and has been exhibiting in major national and regional exhibitions. He has attended several art camps and winner of many awards in state and national level. A professional journey that started 3 decades ago, from the Arts College, Narendra Babu paints every single day. All travels allover India to remote places of interest. Old temples, old buildings all give off their vibrations that the artist picks up like radar picking up signals from space and puts them through the mystical characters that populate his canvas. The show will be open between 10am to 6 pm except Tuesdays, till the 31st of December, DakshinaChitra, Muttukadu.
