Once a technology has been vetted, its availability becomes widespread very quickly. Infrastructurally, comprehensive technologies are integrated. Many times the technology is approved and available but, doing the paperwork inhibits widespread use. To conclude, our organization is largely intelligent but, due to the very weak curricular area,

my final placement is in the integrated category. The areas that we are failing in, we are failing badly. Six of the areas needing improvement are behavioral and five are infrastructural. Two of the infrastructural issues will not be addressed due to security concerns and the nature of the work environment. The plans under development already address the structural issues of within the curricular integration areas. A repository of organization-wide visibility is in progress. A survey system is being developed and we are reaching out to other sister organizations to pair our training programs with theirs. Trainees will be trained on the use of the repository which will rapidly move us to an intelligent rating for trainee use of technology resources for training needs. The behavioral issues are the technology use policy, technology use planning, using technology for assessments, teachers using technology in their daily tasks and using technology to teach, trainees using technology as a resource for training and trainees having access to appropriate training and tools in an electronic format. To address these issues, we are retraining in the use of our primary tools to emphasize the importance of the use of these tools rather than pen and paper. We are developing a comprehensive training plan that will result in many certifications for each trainee, thus increasing their value to the parent company and the contract as a whole. Some management prefers a pen and paper approach to assessments and disseminating training materials. There is no plan to address these issues although, developing a repository of information available to all will reduce the paper based system. The new training plans will provide multiple opportunities for fully computerized training to occur. The results of the training are recorded at the department, organization and parent company levels as well as with our partners. Lastly, trainees will be provided with an knowledgebase and tools in digital form.
