Week 4

Day 1

1.

God's Word for Today.

John 15:12 "This is My command : love one another as I have loved you."

2.

A witnessing lifestyle involves loving not only the lost but also the saved. Your concentric circles will include many people who are already saved. Showing God's love to them is a way for you to practice loving others the way God wants you to love the lost world. Complete your surveys. Your surveys become your strategy for reaching out with the love of Christ. Prayer i. Review the surveys you completed last week. ii. Add additional information iii. Pray for your immediate family's specific needs.

Day 2

1.

God's Word for Today

2 Peter 3:9 "The Lord does not delay His promise, as some understand delay, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish, but all to come to repentance"

2.

Concentric Circle 3 is assigned to relatives. The category can go on almost indefinitely, for it includes family members related to you by blood or marriage but do not live in the same house with you. Pray for your relatives in your surveys. God will guide you to identify their needs. Show an interest in and love for people. They will respond when they see that you care. Love is meeting needs! It is very important to be close to your family so that you will be available for God's use. Take one day at a time. You can't win all of your family in one day. Be available to God and allow Him to love through you to meet people's needs. However, you need to be INTENTIONAL about it. Praying for My Circles Today i. Review your survey forms for your relatives ii. Begin praying for each person iii. Ask God to reveal their needs to you iv. Ask God to teach you to pray and love them. v. As you pray for each one, record on your survey form any insights you receive from the Lord.

Day 3

1.

God's Word for Today

Romans 1:16 "I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is God's power for salvation to everyone who believes, first to the Jew, and also to the Greek.

2.

In Concentric Circle 4 you have your close friends, which are sometimes closer than your relatives. Watch for ways God may invite you to show His love for them by meeting their needs.
John 15:12 "This is My command : love one another as I have loved you."

3.

4.

Who is your best friend? Is that person a believer? Yes No I don't know If not, what needs to happen for God to use you to bring your friend to a saving relationship with Christ?

5.

Our love for God must precede our love for the lost person. If we really love Him, we will love the ones He loves. A person without Christ is lost and is headed for a Christless eternity in hell, even if that person is your closest friend. Don't water down the gospel to make it easier to accept. Salvation is in and through Jesus Christ alone.
John 14:6 No one comes to the Father except through Me

Acts 4:12 There is salvation in no one else for there is no name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved" 1 John 5:12 The one who has the Son has life. The one who doesn't have the Son of God does not have life."

8.

A person cannot be changed until he realizes, "Without Christ I am hopelessly and helplessly lost." So, remember that your friend without Christ is lost and condemned to hell. You need to be concerned for the lostness of your friends. Realize the urgency of confronting our friends with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Prayer i. Look at your survey forms. ii. Pray for each person. iii. Record ways God is directing you to reach out with His love. iv. Pray that God will use you to meet their needs and lead them to Christ.

Galatians 5:13-15 "You are called to freedom, brothers; only don't use this freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but serve one another through love. For the entire law is fulfilled in one statement : You shall love your neighbour as yourself. But if you bite and devour one another, watch out, or you will be consumed by one another."

After completing your surveys, start to intercede. Be available to God to use you. Build bridges to people by reaching out in love and showing them that you care. Methuselah lived 969 years and may have died in the flood of Noah's day. Enoch, his father lived only 365 years. Then "Enoch walked with God, and he was not there, because God took him." Which would you rather be? Oscar Thompson Jr. : "It is not how long I live; it is how I live." Prayer i. Pray for those identified in Circle 5 ii. Ask God to use you to build bridges of communication and relationship. iii. Consecrate yourself to be used in the ways He shows you. iv. Record them in your survey forms. Be obedient.

Day 5

1.

God's Word for Today

1 Peter 3:15-16 "Set apart the Messiah as Lord in your hearts and always be ready to give a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you. However, do this with gentleness and respect, keeping your conscience clear, so that when you are accused, those who denounce your Christian life will be put to shame.

2.

Concentric Circle 6 is reserved for your acquaintances-people you know casually. One way to give recognition to a person is to call him/her by his/her name. When you call someone by his/her name, he/she will not forget you. Meeting needs has a wonderful by-product. When you love people, God gives dividends. You receive love from God and others. Do you have an acquaintance in Circle 6 who bugs you? Perhaps that person has a deep problem. Perhaps you need to reach out and be sensitive to that person's need. Who is going to help him of you don't? Prayer i. Look over your acquaintance in Circle 6. ii. Ask God to help you learn their names, build relationships and learn their needs. iii. Ask God to give you love and compassion for each person on your list. iv. Pray for that person and ask God how to love and meet that person's need. 6
