Dear Parent/Guardian: I am writing to inform you of our Mid-Year Exam schedule and the policies and procedures for this time of year. The Cafeteria will be open during the exam days from 7:15 7:50 am and then from 9:35 10:00 am. Students should report on time to their exam rooms. Students are required to remain in their exam rooms until the scheduled end of the Exam. No dismissals during the Exam period will be allowed. If a student is unable to attend school, a parent must call the Main Office to report the absence and then send in a written note explaining the absence when the student returns. In the case of an excused absence, the student must make arrangements with the teacher (s) to make up the Exam (s). If the students absence is not excused, there are no make-up privileges and the exam grade will be recorded at a 0. Bus transportation is provided at the regular times, both morning and afternoon. Students must arrange for their own transportation if they choose not to take the bus during the Exam days. If a student must wait for the bus, he/she may wait in the High School Library or may seek extra help from a teacher while waiting for the bus. All 9th and 10th grade students will be participating in the practice MCAS long-composition during the 10:00-11:45 am time period on Friday, January 18, 2013. Students will be assigned to classrooms in the second floor of the Adams Street wing. Room assignments will be posted during the week of Exams. In the event of a school closing, the Exams that are scheduled for that day will be given on the day we return. If school is delayed, the first Exam will be given from 10:00 11:45 am and the second Exam will be given from 12:00 1:45 pm. Sincerely, Eric Tracy Principal
