This assessment is a Math assessment on our current unit statistics. Every individual in year 8 has to choose a topic that they want to research and create a survey about, and write a report of the data collected. I did my research on the top ten countries with the most cars per 1000 people. To do this I went on the internet to search.
REASEARCH QUESTION: What are the top 10 countries with the most cars per 1000 people? I think that the country with the most cars will be China because it is a rich country and is has many people. I also think that it would be the US or Russia because they are both big countries too.
HYPOTHESIS:
I chose this topic because I am interested in cars and I have always wondered on which country has the most cars for a certain amount of people.
DATA COLLECTION:
I got the results from a few different websites. I concentrated most of my data on this website. The results that I got were not at all what I was expecting. I searched on the Internet to find the answer. I went on different websites to compare the results. A few websites had the same things/numbers. Seeing this, I made my graph with these results. On the next page, there is my graph. Instead of putting the results from most to least, I decided to put my results into alphabetical order to make the bars go up, down and back up again instead of having the bars go down diagonally. If you would like to see the raw data that I used, go to the last page.

ANALYSING:
As you can see on the graph above, the graphs dont go in one direction and it is in alphabetical order. By looking at this graph, I can conclude that Monaco has the most cars per 1000 people. My theory was wrong; the most densely populated country does no that the most cars per 1000 people. Instead, Monaco has the most.
ANALYSIS ON PROJECT:
Overall I think that this project went well. I think that I got the data required. I think that my graph is good because it is easy to see the results. I think that my method of data collection also went well because like I said, I got all the data needed.
Improvements:
I think that next time I should be a bit more organized with my work. At first, I found it tricky getting the mode, mean and median but then I got the hang of it. I think that next time I should also be more organized with time. During class I went of topic a little bit and didnt get a lot of work done. I also think that next time I should hand in my work on time.
Summary:
I chose to do a project on the top 10 countries with the most cars because I like cars and I was interested in finding it. I used websites to find my data and compared the results with other sites to see if the results were real. My hypothesis wasnt correct so I kept on looking on other websites and found that China actually didnt have to most cars per 1000 people. I also found the answer to my question Which countries had the most cars per 100 people.
