TODAY Welcome! This morning, Pastor Steve continues our morning sermon series on 1 Peter called Far from the Home I Love. We will also celebrate the Lords Supper in the morning service. Wine is placed in the center and middle of the tray and grape juice on the outside ring. Our benevolent offering will be designated for our Cedar Benevolent Fund. In the evening our intern Micah Shin will bring us the message. 11:00 AM Sunday School & Small Groups for All Ages 12:00 PM Fellowship Lunch 1:00 PM Congregational Meeting 5:30 PM Evening Service THIS WEEK Wednesday Midweek Ministries @ 7 PM HCS Thursday Love INC Bible Study @ 7 PM Hillcrest CRC Saturday Cadet Snow Derby @ 7:15AM meet at HCS ANNOUNCEMENTS Cadet Snow Derby All Cadets and their fathers are invited to participate in the Rush Creek Council Snow Derby this Saturday, January 19 at the Rush Creek Campground. Admission is two cans of non-creamed soups. Meet at HCS at 7:15AM and return midafternoon. Come compete and show off your winter outdoor skills. See Tom Dykema for details. Benevolent Fund - Thanks to the generosity of Cedar members the deacons have been able to help with many physical needs. As a result the deacons fund is running low. Today we will be receiving the benevolent offering for the Cedar Benevolent Fund. Please consider how you can help this vital ministry of Cedar with your continued gifts. The deacons also want you to know you are free to give to the benevolent fund anytime by indicating in the memo line on your check or envelope addressed benevolent fund.

ANNOUNCEMENTS Pastor Micks Itinerary - Pastor Mick has been invited to share his presentation on the work in Uganda with other churches in our presbytery. Please keep him in your prayers as he travels and as he makes his presentations. Pray that the mission work in Uganda will be prospered by the educated prayers of people here and that others will be prompted to go and be the hands and feet of those prayers. Here is his schedule for this month. Jan 20 - Providence OPC, Manistee Jan 25 - Presbytery Youth All-Nighter Youth Group Pando Outing - Junior and Senior High YouthGroup members MARK YOUR CALENDARS for our second annual Pando event. On Friday, February 22 we will meet at 6 p.m. in the Cedar Church parking lot and plan to arrive back at church around 10:30 p.m. Please plan to dress accordingly. The cost of tubing will be covered by the Youth Group Fund, but please plan to bring a small amount of cash if you wish to purchase snacks in the ski lodge. If you have questions, please contact Diana Sprik. Winter Youth Retreat The brochures are in! The 2013 OPC Winter Youth Retreat all-nighter will be held at the downtown YMCA in Grand Rapids on January 25-26 for 7th-12th grade students and interested parents. The speaker this year is Mika Edmonson from Harvest OPC. The cost of the retreat will be $30. The Presbytery Youth Committee brochures are available on the literature rack or at http://all-ofgrace.org/pres/2013_Winter_Retreat_Brochure.pdf. Hope to see you there! Loves Treasures Resale Shoppe - More volunteers are needed in the Resale Shoppe prep area on Monday mornings and more cashiers are needed for Loves Treasures Resale Shoppe on Friday mornings and afternoons. Concert to support Love INC - Worship concert featuring praise bands from Hudsonville Congregational UCC, Fellowship Reformed Church, and Sunrise Ministries on Saturday, February 9 at 7:00 pm at Hudsonville Congregational UCC, 4950 32nd Avenue, Hudsonville. A dessert reception will follow the concert. The event is free, with a free-will offering taking place to benefit Love INCs ministries. GriefShare - Fair Haven Ministries in Hudsonville will be offering GriefShare - a support group for people grieving the death of someone close to them. Discussions and teachings approach the subject of loss through a Biblical perspective. GriefShare meets from 6:30-8:30pm on Mondays and also from 3:00-5:00pm on Sundays starting in January. The Bible is sincerely loved, and we hope that you will find it opened up to you in a fresh and faithful manner each Sunday. A NURSERY is available near the entrance of the gymnasium, but children are always welcome in the worship service.
