letter in regards to the exceptional and very professional care that has been given to my mother Helen I -.r by Dr. T. DeLengocky.. She has been under his care since she was referred to him by one of your associates at Bond that she also see's there, Dr. Mehta, who also is very exceptional with his care and expertise to my morn.

This past year, my morn suddenly was having some ciiticalvision problems,

that she did not make me known of. You see, mom has never driven in her life, and she depends on me to take here everywhere. She lives alone in Canton, ll. And I live in Glasford, ll. Your staff at both your offices are very pleasant at all times, and very helpful to me and my mom. Appointrnents are never a problem, and if mom has a problem, it is never a problem to get her in to see the doctor.
Well, mom had this eye problem with her seeing spots, blurry vision ect.. and she called Dr. Mehta. He then referred her to Dr. Delengocky- We went to see
Dr. Delengocky ASAP, as Dr. Mehta recommended. After Dr. Delengocky

bunch of testing at the office, even in between seeing other patients that day, in' the Peoria office, he still had time to explain to me.especially, what might be going on with my mom. Mom does not understand a lot of medical things. After doing and reviewing some tests he did in the office, he recommended that mom And to follow back up with him, Well to make a long story short, Her family doctor was on vacation. And they told her she would not
see her family doctor ASAP
be seen

till he gets back in 2 weeks. When we went back to see Dr. Delengocky, and told him what the office said, he was very upset. Due to the fact that he was suspicious that mom could have a possible stroke due to some of the testing he was doing in the office and by the information that I supplied of her history.
to inquire why she did not get in to see why she could not see one of his associates, due to the possible severe nature of the eye problems that mom was having. Mom and I were in the room when the Doctor was on the phone with the office. They kept putting hirn on
He then contacted her family doctor's office

was very calm and very patient with this office, even spelling his name several

times, and being put on hold and transferred to several receptionists and nurses. After all of this, they stated that they would call me with a appt. before 5pm. So this was near closing time for the office. ( this was the Pekin office) He took the

time and much patience to make sure mom was going to be seen to be sure that she was going to get the needed test to be done. After that on our way out, he
talked with me and gave me his cell phone number and asked for mine. He wanted me to calt him to let him know if they gave mom a appt. ASAP. lf he did not hear from me he was going to call me. I know that goes far and beyond what most doctors do. I commend him on that. I also know that a few nurses do that, but few doctors do appt. She did. Well, she had a Carotid Doppler, which showed she had a 9[o/oblockage in her Subclavian artery that is near her neck. Her family doctor immediately referred her to a neurologist. They admitted her that day for tests, to see if the blockage was causing her vision problem. They discharged her the next day. Referred her

that.

He took the time

to make sure that rny mom got the

to a Dr.Pula. he also spent a lot of time with my mom even with his busy
schedule.

Dr. Pula then referred her to Dr. Hussain, who is a cardiologist with Heartcare'. Midwest. He went in and she has a blockage of that artery, and he now is going

to leave it alone for now. And do another Doppler soon.

My point of writing this letter is: lf it were not for Dr. Delengocky with his time that he takes with all of his patients, explainingto them what is going on with

ihern, doing the testing needed, following up with them as he does, I know one thing and I my self and mom has said, this would have not been caught, I mean the blockage. Due to his testing he did at the office. I appreciated the time and
caring that he took the tirne to check on mom, and called me to make sure that she got followed up on. That art of doctoring is a lost art, Patient care should

to be money, and people are impatient, but if it was their family member or themselves, I am sure that they would like to have the same done for. them. I know I appreciate a.doctor or a nu':se who
